I Had My First Beer
in over 2 1/2 years....well some of you all know that i had Open Heart Surgery 2 years today, and have been unable to go out and drink and get wasted like everyone else. My friends decided to take me out today and got me to actually drink a beer(i had 3), and man does it feel good to get back into that lifestyle, and i feel great. My doctors told me i shouldnt drink again like i used to but can have a couple beers here and there, but i took that as to stop drinking all together. I stopped going out to cause i was tired of seeing all my friends get wasted and knowing i couldnt join just wasnt fun for me. Im actually looking forward to Halloween party today as i know i am able to drink and not worry about side affects with my medicine and heart messing up, which is a huge relief.

Re: I Had My First Beer
Sounds like you need A.A, if you still want to drink after everything you went through. I will be praying for you to think twice before you pick up another drink. Your health is more important then drinking at some party.Image in Signature Removed by Operation Sports Staff due to TOS Violation.Comment

Re: I Had My First Beer
Cheers. I had a hallows eve party tonight. Have another friday night and another saturday night. should be a good blur of a weekend. but i've got a designated driver so i wont be driving any this weekend once the alcohol begins to flooww.
my only advice is be safe. never drive drunk even if onyl a buzz is obtained. even in my drunken state i know to call a pledge to drive me and the date home. even if you gotta call a taxi and drop 20$ on a ride home its worth it. have fun man.Twitter

Re: I Had My First Beer

Glad to hear you're doing ok after the surgery....and remember moderation is the key for a healthy person/beer relationship.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: I Had My First Beer
Same, I have one tomorrow night and then one at PSU Saturday. Luckily all of the stuff we're hitting up in State College is within walking distance of my friend's place, so no driving necessary.Cheers. I had a hallows eve party tonight.
