Should I have a problem with this?

I live in four-bedroom apartment at school with three good friends (well, two... I hate the one kid now).

The kid who lives downstairs with me (one of the my best friends... he's not the one I hate) always has his girlfriend over. I don't have a problem with it. It is a bit of a bummer that we don't hang out as much any more and that he he doesn't go out and party because he claims he can't afford it, yet orders delivery once or twice a week with his girlfriend.

The walls are paper-thin. And they're very loud, very often... if you get what I'm saying.

Now, I'm happy that the kid is finally getting some vag. He worked hard for it and never got anything his first three years of college. He clearly likes the girl and she clearly likes him back.

But they have no discretion when they go at it.

It doesn't matter the time of day, whether it's early morning, afternoon, or at night. They've actually woken me up a few times in the morning, which I'm not happy about because it's hard for me to get back to sleep once I've woken up. But I just joked about it with my him and never made a big deal about it.

It doesn't matter who is home. It's not like I walk into the apartment and they're in his room. They'll see me in my room and just shut the door and go for it.

And it's all the time. Nearly every day.

Like I said, I'm happy for the guy. He's a really good kid and never had anything before this... anything. He had to hear stories about me and my other roommates for three years without getting to experience anything himself.

And, before someone says it, yes, I'm a little bit jealous that he's got something consistent that he can go at whenever he wants, while I still have to work to get something on occasion.

But, damn, it's annoying and awkward.

Am I wrong in this one? Should I just deal with it? If I was to say something, how should I go about it? Or should I just shut my mouth?

hahaha, I dunno guys. I'm stumped. When I was awakened by it at 7:30 this morning, I figured maybe it was time to see what someone else thinks.

I don't think you're wrong, I mean you've given the guy an exception for a length of time but if it's disrupting you at all hours of the night that's a problem. I could see if it was during the daytime, but if you're CONSTANTLY getting awakened throughout the night, then you should discuss it with him. It's no different than you blasting some music and disturbing him, I'm sure he'd come talk to you about it. Does she not have an apt/room, that he can stay over some nights?

Yea she just needs to keep it down some. Tell him to get her to keep it down some. She can control it if she wants to.

Re: Should I have a problem with this?

It's not like it wakes me up every day. I've been awakened by it maybe 3 or 4 times in two months, including today.

But, even when they do it during the day, it is distracting nonetheless. Like, I'm trying to get some work done, and I hear moaning and skin smacking for five minutes strait. I just turn up my music sometimes and try to drown it out, but I'm not always in the mood to hear music, and I can't concentrate if there is music on.

hahaha, it's weird... I feel like I'm supposed to be like "OH YEAH!! Nice going, dude!" And, at first, I joked about it with him, but now I'm just annoyed. It happens nearly every day.

I think that the easiest thing is to be straight forward with him. Like you said it's not a huge problem but it can be at time. Mention that to him as well. Things like this in my experience can be easily solved by simply talking to him, in a respectful manner, after all it's your house too.

Just talk with the guy. Or go study somewhere else.

Who else should I blame. Women are easily more vocal during sex than men are. So I am pretty sure it is her making the majority of the noise.

Yeah, she can control it. Just talk to him and lay it out there, it shouldn't be an issue, but me thinks it might turn into one.

I agree with the others just lay it out there for your friend. Don't make it sound like you're discouraging him because as you say he's finally reaping the rewards of what he's been wanting for a long time.

Why he gotta go somewhere else. Why can't homeboy and his old lady go bump and grind at her place sometime?

If I was you, I would use this to my advantage, every time they got loud I would lay back and grab a bottle of lotion and let the magic happen.

hahaha... it's possible. I'm telling you: nearly every day for over two months.

I think they might have had issues at her place at the beginning of the semester. I remember over-hearing them talk about how her roommates were pissed because my roommate was always there. And I doubt she has her own bed room like we all do here.

No one else hears anything. He and I live downstairs and the other two live upstairs, so I'm the only one that shares a wall with the kid.
