I was bored at work and was looking for info for 2k5. After finding what I wanted I started to return to the site to have something to read aside from the news that I was normally reading. At some point I decided the news was boring and this site was far more interesting. Slowly started posting more or more and now Im here all the time.

Re: How did you find Operation Sports?
I came here in 2001 and was into All Star baseball and was searching for info prior to the game being released (ASB 2002) and found people talking about it here. In turn I created an account and then forgot the username/password and then just read the forums and then 1 day I came and they did something where you had to register to read the forums, not sure if they did it for a limited time or what but I said heck with it and created a new account and have been here ever since. that was in 2002. Forums and websites.etc was like all new to me. this was the actual first forum I became a member of.
how do you guys go back and look at your posts from back in the day? I search it only goes back to like feb 2010Comment

Regardless, there's are probably a lot of posts in the middle years that probably won't be searchable - I assume that 300 result limit is to keep from putting too much stress on the website.Last edited by bcruise; 10-22-2010, 05:02 PM.Comment

Re: How did you find Operation Sports?
I don't remember exactly how, but I'm sure I was looking for either rosters or sliders for some game. I'm glad I found it, it's about the only place on the net I have to go to everyday.NFL: Green Bay Packers
MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies
NBA: Denver Nuggets
NHL: Colorado Avalanche, Pittsburgh Penguins
NCAA: Air Force Falcons, Penn State Nittany LionsComment

Re: How did you find Operation Sports?
BIG BUMP. Thanks to BurghFan for digging this up for me after I created a similar thread an hourish ago.
I believe it was toward the end of the 2013-14 college football season. I was excited that NCAA 14 had brought back importable draft classes, and was looking for a way to get realistic classes. So i googled something along the line of "NCAA 14 Draft Classes" and came across one of the threads on this page. I was interested in the tips/tricks I had gotten and started putzing around the forums, and came across WTNY's Wyoming dynasty. Having received a generic recruiting email (basically, "We see that you play football. We have a football team. Here is some information about our football team.") from Wyoming after Craig Bohl took over, I was immediately intrigued. I quickly read through the entire dynasty and then created an account just so I could post how awesome it was. Since then ive been pretty involved in the NCAA, MLB, and NFL threads.Chicago Cubs
Michigan Wolverines

Re: How did you find Operation Sports?
I honestly don't remember what brought me to OS. I think it had to do with looking up information about Madden. I do know that the site has changed quite a bit since 2003.Hard to believe I've been here for almost 13 years.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: How did you find Operation Sports?
I was looking for PS2 rosters for NCAA football. Back then you had to send DT Lindler a memory card, padded envelope, and some $$(if you wanted him to send them back right away) to get rosters.

Re: How did you find Operation Sports?
OR?
One could use a Sharkport to transfer a roster file to the PS2 memory card...
THAT was one PITA "system", IMHO...
