    Any exercise freaks in here?

I've got a question about fat burners. I used a supplement called Lean System 7 to kinda get me kick started in dropping some pounds after I gained some weight after a back injury. The stuff worked f-ing wonders, getting me down to 8% body fat and down to 185 pounds (from nearly 200). Don't get me wrong, I was busting my as$ too, but I just couldn't believe how I just leaned up so effectively.

BAD side: It's a stimulant and it shot my freakin' blood pressure through the roof and I threw that stuff in the garbage about 3/4 of the way through the cycle. Heart was racing all the time, not sleeping well, the whole bit. I guess with the good comes the bad. Also, since I do quite a bit of cardio, I found it extremely hard to build muscle and keep it. I was just burning through it all, I guess.

My question to you all: Is there a good fat burning/lean muscle retaining stack I can use without the stimulants? As I age my metabolism has definitely down shifted (36 years old now), and with the kids my diet is inconsistent, but mostly good. It doesn't take very many off meals to throw things outta whack. Anyway, that's my request to anyone who knows anything about this kinda stuff.

if you want to lose weight I honestly don't recommend talking supplements. What I would do is drink A LOT of water, go running, and eat a little bit less and not any pop or sweets

Fat burners are the supplement version of Monster Cables. Actually, most bodybuilding supplements are, too.

Hard work, a good diet, and consistency will get you where you want to be.

As they said work hard, eat well, cut junk out, make sure to give your body rest when it asks and never put something in your body that you don't know what it might do to you. I have taken some stuff for lifting and it has made me feel like crap also man.

Ephedrine (Bronkaide) + Caffiene (NODOZ pills) (best fat burner)

I was taking NO explode a while back and I really noticed a difference with my workouts. I am 30 w/ 2 kids and had noticed my workouts had dipped and that was a good kick.

I recommend Lean Out by Beverly International:

              http://www.amazon.com/Beverly-Intern...0201254&sr=8-1

I used in when I was into bodybuilding and it helped me shed fat while retaining muscle. Recently, why wife was looking through my old training notebooks and saw the supplement listed and tried it for her self as she was trying to shed a few stubborn pounds of fat. Not changing anything else in her routine, she was able to shed 4% bodyfat in 4 weeks.

6 meals a day. 3 with a protein and a carb and 3 with a protein and a vegetable. Check the back of the box. Look for high protein to low fat. Chicken and tuna are great for this. Also go low sodium. Drink water, not sugar drinks. Exercise. See how that works for ya.

                  Agreed.

Also you need to find out what was in that supplement you where taking.

Caffeine is not gonna make your BP go nuts. I'm guessing it was Yohimbe which alot of supplement companys are throwing in there fat burners to replace ephedra.

Yohimbe screwed up my heart rate big time, never taking that stuff again.

Other things to check as far as energy goes are Iron, Calcium, Magnesium. A majority of americans are highly lacking in these minerals.

Also with Bronkaid + No Dose.

Both products are made by Bayer in a lab. You know that every dose is legit.

With supplements you have no idea the ingredients in the pill are whats on the package.

If I was you I would figure out a way to get my blood pressure to normal levels. Eat oatmeal and water for a few weeks with a low fat diet.

Reintroduce stimulants, if your blood pressure goes haywire again, then you know for sure thats what it is.

Supplements are for energy. Not fat burning.

A fat burner would be considered as dietary supplement.

It gets real hard eating 6 small meals a day when you are working a 6-6 or even a 9-5.

Supplements become necessary for some people.

Also, doctors know so little about the good and bad effects of drugs, supplements.

Ephedra was banned due to public pressure on lawmakers from the pharmicutical industry and dumb parents.(Athletes abused the drug during summer when hydration is an issue), not because of evidence of its harm to the human body during monitored use.

I hate everything about steriods, but who knows maybe they are a beneficial for overcoming injuries and sickness.

Basically everything is grey area, because somethings work and dont work for some people.

But to say dont take supplements for fat burning is pretty generalized.
