Re: A kitten with no cat instincts?
I have two cats, both female both about 15 months old. One covers its business, one just chooses not to. I guess its just a thing where some will do it and some won't. Neither one wanted to use a covered box at first so I took the cover off. Once they used it I put it back on and from then on they seemed to get it. No accidents to speak of.Comment

Re: A kitten with no cat instincts?
I guess it's just a random thing. We have a lot of cats around here, and sometimes the cats that have been outside all their lives are way cooler, and like to be around you more than some that have been inside a lot. Like for example, we got this one cat who barely had its eyes open, it was young enough to the point where you had to manually make it piss by rubbing his "area." But now that he can do his business on his own, he retains the typical cat instincts like covering it, and only take craps in litterboxes or places with dirt so it can be covered. Then theres another cat that drops bombs in the grass where he can't cover it and there is a flower bed like 5 feet away. I've even seen one drop a deuce in the middle of the road.
I can't really stand cats anymore since getting a dog and seeing how smart, clean, and loving it is compared to a cat.Comment
