Re: Ethical Dilemas
The classic utilitarian scenario of taking one human life to save thousands (i.e. killing someone about to set off a bomb, or something more morally ambiguous like killing a sick person who might spread a new and dangerous virus if allowed to live)...Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Ethical Dilemas
I think one should be the ethical dilema you had when you were supposed to write a paper about YOUR ethical dilemas, but instead were tempted to ask for outside help."People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring." - Rogers HornsbyComment

Re: Ethical Dilemas
I figured this one would come up but, the main part of the paper is writing about what I would do in the situation and why I would respond in that way. I am just having some trouble with 32 situations to put myself in.Gaming hard since 1988

Re: Ethical Dilemas
A classic:
A new vaccine for an uncommon, serious disease has been created. The guy who makes the vaccine is selling it for 100 times what it costs to make. You have a dying wife at home with this disease. You can't afford the vaccine, and the creator won't allow you to draft a payment plan. Do you steal the vaccine, and is it right to do so?Bears | Bulls | Cubs | Illinois | #Team3Some

Re: Ethical Dilemas
It's everywhere in the professional workplace. In private industry, the federal govt., the military, everywhere. It will completely bog down efficiency, financial flexibility, and the betterment of the organization/department. All because a director, supervisor, manager, or someone in leadership has a 'friendship' with someone, or gives preferential treatment to someone who's otherwise a parasite to the operation.
I can't count for the life of me how many times that a colleague less qualified, who has a fraternizing relationship w/ the 'leadership', get preferential treatment or go unpunished for wildly inappropriate behavior/actions/etc.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
