I could be going 60 in a 55 driving on the left...And people go from behind and switch lanes and pass me...And what really annoys me.....

My question is why would anyone want to stay in the left lane if there is someone that is going faster than you and you are holding them up? Is it just to be a jerk? It is not Joe Blow's job to "Police" the left lane from speeders, law enforcement does that. Move over to the right lane, let the speeder pass, then move back to the left lane if you need to pass someone. It is not difficult.

In Massachusetts we have far too many M*******s who fail to understand what the left lane is actually for. When you are in the left lane and there is not a car in the right lane for at least half a mile then simply GTFO of the PASSING LANE. If you don't it should be legal to run your ******** *** off of the road.

How does that annoy you?

You drive slow in what is considered everywhere to be the faster lane, somebody passes you and you're annoyed? I could understand if, upon passing you, they rivaled your ****ishness and started driving 50, but otherwise you are the annoying one.

Exactly. It comes down to everyone thinking they are a perfect driver and that everyone else should adjust to them. So you'll have someone going 60 in a 55 thinking it's the correct speed to be going, saying anyone going 55 is going too slow and should move over, and anyone going 65 is a maniac and shouldn't be allowed to pass.

If someone is going faster than you in the left lane, move over. What I really don't get is that people don't do it because they think they are driving too fast and want to police them, but by staying in the left lane they are either going to tailgate you at high speeds, or quickly weave in and out of traffic to try and pass you on the right. Yea, that's safer.

If people are driving completely erratically then 'pinning them' behind you isn't always a bad idea. But that is the rare circumstance.

it's worse when people use the slow lane to pass people. almost crashed into someone when i was merging right because the exit was there ... this dude was definitely going like 80 because i checked a couple times and saw no one there... the car was so far away and then bam it was right there.

i hate driving these days because all of the God-awful drivers on the road. It's not scary or frightening... but you just ask God, why oh why do such bad drivers exist?

I'm convinced that I'm automoJob sent here to take the brunt of all the bad drivers mishaps and schemes, only because I'm good enough of a driver to react and deal with it.

Which right lane are we talking about?

The middle right lane? I've always though that lane is reserved for people going anywhere from 1-5 mph over the speed limit.

Then there's the far right lane. And that's for people either going under the speed limit or are about to get off on an exit.

That's what pisses me off. I'm cruising down I-59 or I-459 and my exit is less than half mile away. I get into the far right lane only to have 2 or 3 cars going 60 MPH in front of me.

Actually I do it to be annoying. Too many times I have seen people that go 80 MPH in a 55 and not get a ticket THAT to me is more annoying. Serves them right. Going 60-65 in a 55 to me is over the speed limit (Obviously) which I consider to be fast. If it takes drivers getting annoyed so be it. Im glad. Speaking of over speeding...The only time when overspeeding is effective is on the interstate...Not highways. Highways save seconds depending on how much you are over speeding.
