I'm weird with paranormal stuff. I don't really think most claims are legit, but I also don't want to dismiss everything. There's a lot going on that we don't understand.

I spent 2 nights in Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville. I always kind of believed in ghosts, but after that weekend, I walked away KNOWING they were real. You hear the evps on the tv shows and in the back of your mind, you’re like, well what if they faked that somehow? When you get a question answered on your OWN digital recorder, it’s a life changing moment. Saw lots of shadows moving across the hallways and also got touched on my back. I even laid on the slab in the morgue. One of the weirdest things I’ve ever done.

If you're not a believer or on the fringe, Waverly Hill Sanatorium will make you believer.

Did you play ball with Timmy I think it is on the children's floor? So fascinating.

Also my hair stands up every time I enter the body chute.

Like you I've seen shadows, heard voices, and I've been touched and pushed several times.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Yeah, I tossed the ball around a bit. Couldn't get him to play, tho. I walked almost all the way to the bottom of the body chute. On my way back up, I just had that feeling of someone walking right behind me. I don't think you're ever really alone at Waverly. There's a couple of places in the building that don't get talked about enough. The chapel and the electroshock therapy room. I was sitting on a bench in the chapel and it felt like someone was staring at me 2 inches from my face. That was almost too much to handle. I'd love to go back one day.

My friends and I try to go once a year to take a tour.

I didn't experience anything in the chapel. The electroshock room, I was in there maybe a minute before having to leave due to becoming extremely nauseous.

Every time I walk in that place, I immediately get this uneasy feeling, like you said of being watched or followed.

I recommend anyone around the area who likes the paranormal to visit.

I've always "wanted" to go to this place or something like it but it's not going to happen..NOPE!

I believe in Ghost/Spirits good and evil, also believe in Aliens. I remember when I was young during the summer a few friends and I were playing team hide and seek, it was 3 of us chasing one other and we ran through the play ground

There were no lights and was really dark but all of a sudden I saw something white come across in between us and him. The three of us stopped at the same time so they saw it but he kept running. Can't say for sure what it was but like I said all three of us stopped at the same time.

                Long read

I believe in ghosts 100%. I have seen a ghost three times now and have had several other experiences with strange things happening.

I believe in aliens also. I think you would have to be insane to think there isn't something more out there.

I've visited this place a couple of times.

If you are fascinated about the paranormal, and have the ability to visit Waverly Hills, I highly recommend it. Place is spooky as hell.

Believe there is something else out there in the universe. Hard to think not.

Ghosts etc. I never say never. Never had any experiences myself. Have read about sound waves etc that can cause hallucinations. I feel like the universe is way more complex than we can imagine who knows.

I really don’t want to think too much about something watching when I’m rubbing one out.

The other thing is this. The realist in me says what someone else above said.

What’s the point? Why open up every cupboard? It makes no sense. But another part of me says well maybe it’s just sonething I’m not in on.

In any case I’m not religious at all so sometimes I think that tends to push me towards there is no point and less of a belief in supernatural, etc

Yeah, any time somebody tells me that my father is watching over me when I’m undergoing a prideful moment, I’m thinking it must also be true when I’m sinful as well.

I’m gonna get an earful from him when I’m up there.

Can't believe this topic popped back up. I went back and saw my post. lol

In all seriousness though, as far as aliens I think without a doubt there are many intelligent civilizations out there. Along with tons more planets with simple lifeforms, or even just flora and fauna.

When you do the math it comes out to being almost impossible that we are alone.

We have realized that the Milky Way is bigger than we thought and may have upwards of a trillion stars. Most stars have planets, many of those are in the "habitable zone", however, it gets tricky here. The most common stars in the galaxy are red dwarf stars. We've discovered many, and some have multiple Earth-like planets in the habitable zone. The problem is that they are very active stars and have major flares. This most likely means any planets in their systems would not be able to sustain life. The flare's would send massive amounts of radiation and the planet would be stripped of it atmosphere and all life instantly.

But there is good news. There may be another type of star out there that would make it's planets more habitable than Earth. These are K-Type stars. They are being called Goldilocks stars because the stars live long, up to 40 billion years. They are calm, don't flare, don't give off a ton of radiation.

These are now the stars we are focusing on to find their planets.

The fact they live so long would give life plenty of time to develop. Especially since life developed here so fast. There are over 1,000 K-Types within 100ly of us. If you do the math, that's millions upon millions of what we now think are the most habitable star systems.

And this is just the Milky Way. Never mind those other 2 trillion galaxies out there.

I know a lot of this comes from the conjecture of Ancient Aliens, and I enjoy the show, but something that always bugged me is they talked about science figuring out that the entire universe is mapped mathematically in a way that shows everything we know is a simulation.

Shouldn't this be a big deal?

This is a theory. Some physicists say it's possible but there has been no concrete evidence that this is the case.
