Being Mr. Mom has been tough and a fun night out would be great. I just want to wait until a decent woman comes along. I know many who are nice but not too attractive, and I know a couple who are hot but too wild. So I'll just wait.

You have3 to what is comfortable for you, call the guys and have guys night out, just enjoy yourself, that really important man, In life we have these bumps, but don;t stop for one minute to forget YOU!!!
Go have a few drinks with freinds go out and just enjoy yourself, the reward will be great.

Based on what you're going through, I'd be surprised if you're going to be legit "relationship material" any time soon, which is fine b/c of the kids...

But time feels like "doubletime" when you're around 40 or above, so I'd advocate dating women aren't looking for something too heavy (like a new Dad for their mess) and enjoy yourself the best you can...

If you find the right people, you can easily explain why you prefer to keep your home life separate from your social life...

If that's not playing in your current social circle, there's always the internet...

There's no better way to put a break up in perspective than getting interested in someone new...

Lastly, I've been away so I missed the fund drive put on to get The Show for OP...

What I would do...call her now, if she is into you like it seems like it, maybe go on a casual date and tell her you can't really get into anything until the divorce is final and so on. After the divorce happens, try to only do things with her when the kids aren't around, and if it gets serious(more if it is starting to get serious) maybe have her over "as a friend" so your kids could get to know her better, and ask them if they would mind if you started dating her.

But now reading the rest of the pages I missed, it sounds like she is a bit crazy...but I would take it this way when, or if this happens soon, if you do find a woman that you are attracted to.

My girls and I have been in this storm for two months now, and some of the consequences are starting to show. My little girl drew a picture of her family in which she, her sister, and I were the only ones. Mom was conspicuously absent. It really got to me. A broken home is the last thing I want my girls growing up in. My little one also has been writing a story about me working and taking care of her. It's very sweet but also sad. There should be two parents in the story.

Two months down. The rest of my life to go. I can't wait for this to get easier, but right now I miss my old life. I miss the woman my wife used to be. And it drives me insane that she takes my girls over to the house where she lives with another man. What a horrible example.

Mom + dad doesn't always equal family. You're just as much a family now as you were then. Hell in todays world having your mom and dad in the same house hold is rare. I grew up living with only my mom and two younger brothers. I argue that we were just as much family as my best friend who's mom and dad are still married.

Just remember to be strong man and things will get better.

Thanks! I can't wait to get home today. I'll have to make it to the gym first. A good friend has taken it upon himself to train me. The workouts are about the only thing keeping my sanity right now.

Hopefully between supper, homework, cleaning house, and getting my little one ready for bed I can squeeze in a game or two.

I can't thank you guys enough. This is the first thing I've looked forwards to in 2 months. Now if I can just get the time to play! Friday night is my little girls' night to be with mom, so I'll get in some serious Show time then. It will help me with being lonely and missing her. Again, I can't find the words for how awesome this is. I will pay it forward.

I don't post much these days, but after seeing the thread title I was ready to come in here and bash the hell out of someone airing their laundry on a sports website.

Then it hit me...

You needed this. You needed someone that would listen. It's an amazing thing this community has done for you, and I pray that each day gets better. You're being the rock your little girls need right now, and that's admirable. Continue to stay as strong as you possibly can. You're a greater man than most I know.

I hope that you enjoy the game. I wish that I would be able to play it, as it is the best baseball game out there. I only have the 360, so i can't play it.
