Re: Wife left me for another man
I just read through this whole thread. I'm glad it had a happy ending. That was real nice of all of you to get some money together and get this man the show too. Longshadow11, I hope all continues to be well with you and yours.Comment

Re: Wife left me for another man
If this was some elaborate plot to get a free copy of MLB 10, then shame on you longshadow11.
(I hope you can laugh at that)

Re: Wife left me for another man
Wow man, that's really awesome that you found such a great woman to help you and your family through this. Don't jump the gun, of course - things can always change pretty quickly. But she seems great from what you've said, so hopefully that all works out. Best of luck.IT'S GREAT TO BEA MIAMI HURRICANE"At exactly which point do we start to realizeThat a life without knowledge is death in disguise?"Comment

Re: Wife left me for another man
My wife is a school teacher and she left me 5 days before Christmas for a man she teaches with. We were married 18 years. We have two daughters, ages 15 and 6. My wife is living in a motel and has very little communication with me. She sometimes sees the girls for an hour or two.
She told me in October that she wasn't in love with me anymore. She gave me a list of things to improve, and I really worked hard to make her happy. However, I could do nothing right in the long run. I was confused and upset for two months and began to worry she was having an affair. One night I overheard her telling my daughter that she was leaving me. I walked in the room and begged her to not break apart our family, but she began screaming that she doesn't love me. Two days later she admitted to being "in love" with another man. This other man has also left his wife and two children.
I don't understand how they can know each other for 4 months and throw away their families so easily. People all over our community are shocked and outraged.
I've been a wreck. I've lost a ton of weight and have a hard time sleeping. My oldest daughter thinks her mom is a whore and wonders why she wasn't good enough for her mom to stay with the family. The youngest doesn't understand why she doesn't see mom much anymore.
This is the worst time in my life. It is worse than I ever imagined. How could the one person I trusted more than any other do this to me, and worse, to our girls? The pain is so intense that it has physically affected me. I understand the phrase "broken heart" now.
I need prayers like you wouldn't believe.
Thanks,
Gary V.

I will pray for you and your daughters. I will pray for your wife as well.

Re: Wife left me for another man
Thanks to all you awesome dudes wishing me the best.
Update: I am dating the most incredible woman I've ever met. She's classy, stylish, feminine, smart, gorgeous and has a killer body. I keep wondering when I'm gonna wake up from this dream. The funny thing is she says the same. We are very compatible and have a great time when we're together.
I don't want to be too ugly towards my ex, but I will say my girlfriend is a major upgrade in every way. One of the things which blows my mind is that she has recipes and knows how to cook over 30 different meals so that there's something different every day of the month. I almost proposed to her when she told me that.
I still don't get much time to play The Show. My oldest daughter has mono and my youngest requires lots of attention. The only free time I have has been spent getting to know this wonderful lady I am dating. However, I'm definitely gonna play The Show tonight before I pick her up.
I don't think I'll ever be glad my ex did what she did to me and our daughters, but I do think my life is going to be better without her. Dating a younger, nicer, sexier woman is a nice way to bounce back. Even if things don't work out with my new lady, it's great to know some good women are out there, and I'm not the piece of garbage my ex made me feel like.Comment

Update
Thanks for the continuing support!
Mother's Day was a sad deal. My little girl kept asking if she was going to see her mother. I never heard from my ex about plans to see her, so at 4PM I dialed her number and handed the phone to my daughter. Only after putting her on the spot did my ex decide to visit with our little one for Mother's Day, and then it was only for about an hour. Yet today, she took her for about 8 hours. Clearly, she only wants to see the girls when it's convenient for her.
I'm still seeing the fantastic woman I mentioned a few weeks ago. She's amazing, and my daughters love her. I didn't know women this hot could also be incredibly sweet. She seems to think we're perfect for each other, and often talks about God putting us together. I like that. She's spiritual but definitely likes to have fun. She's a good cook and has a better body than any girl I dated in college. My ex is gonna flip out when she sees her for the first time. My little girl said my girlfriend is the prettiest woman she has ever seen. Yep, I'm definitely feeling better about life right now.Comment

Re: Wife left me for another man
I want to say again you guys are the BEST. The Show is a great distraction from all the duties I have now. Man, it is tough being mom and dad. The laundry never ends. And dishes. Having to sell my house compounds the work because it has to be clean every morning when we walk out the door. I need it to sell, the mortgage is killing me. It doesn't seem right that a spouse can just walk away and say, "Let it go into foreclosure."
I just saw my girlfriend in the hall. My gosh, she's gorgeous. Not that it's everything, but what a way to bounce back! It's nuts going from the depths of misery to having a relationship with a great woman who looks like she belongs in a magazine. I will always help other men who think they're never going to recover.
This has been a wonderful experience in many ways. I've learned that there's a LOT of caring people who despise evil deeds and will go out of their way to help. People I don't know have offered to help with my daughters, and you guys chipped in with a great gesture which rose my spirits immeasurably.
I'm here to help and give advice to anyone who ever experiences something similar.Comment
