Man watch some of the early black and white Popeye cartoons. Besides being utterly hilarious it was absurdly violent. Bluto driving a carriage, whipping the horse while doing so, and when he stops he decides I'm going to jump off the carriage, stomp on the horses' back on the way down, then punch it in the face a few times when i land. Seriously? i mean i laughed but WTF???

A lot of those cartoons were not made for children.
Bugs Bunny....prime example.
Those were made for the people watching the newsreels during WWII.
You'll see a lot of WWII references.

The Animated X-Men series on Fox Saturday Mornings was an absolute must. That show was so freakin awesome!

That was probably my all time favorite.
I also like the old TNMT from the late 80's early 90's... I remember that came on during the week at 8 and I had to be at elementary school by 8:25 it would suck having to leave before it finished.

Masters of the Universe was pretty awesome too although I saw it recently and it was a little homo... like was He-man a little on the other side of the fence??

Hmm, let's see now. . .

-I remember I liked Loony Tunes and Popeye cartoons.
-I also watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles around 89/90.
-There was this cartoon called DinoSaucers that I watched when I was 6-7 years old back in the late 80's. Basically anthropomorphic dinosaurs from outer space. I remember I really loved that cartoon (I was big into anything dinosaurs when I was a kid), in fact there may still be an old VHS with taped episodes at my moms house. Looking on wikipedia I see that show was canned after one season so I doubt many have every heard of it. I don't know why/how I remember all this stuff . . . my brain is like a black hole, once something gets in, it never gets out.
-Probably Mickey Mouse cartoons around the same time period or a bit earlier
-Pink Panther was one of my favorites.
