    Mom want to move in with me and my roommates.

    Yeah including my little brother who's 3 years old. I've been fighting with my mom for over the last 3 years since I left for college. She has resented me and gave me nothing but hell for leaving. Money is tight on her side only collecting unemployment but her excuse is she has no family where she lives(she's burnt many bridges) and she could save money if she moves in with me. Im in a healthy relationship with my gf and my mom hates her simply because of jealousy. I have no clue what to do. Say yes you can move in with me until you get your **** together or say no your a grown up fix your own problems. Remember me and my gf have 9 more months before we graduate and we probably won't be living where we are right now. There's so much to the story and why she wants to move in but I don't feel like getting into that I just wanna get to the point.

    Everyone is telling me no. Bad idea. But she's my mom and I love her to death no matter how ****ty she has been to me lately. Single mom that took care of me while growing up. I feel obligated to do the same.

          It sounds like your Mom and you don't have a healthy relationship. If she moves in, im going to assume your GF and her will fight, and maybe your GF leaves. You will resent your mother forever for possibly screwing up a life with your future wife.

          I think your gut is telling you "No effin way". Listen to it man. It seems like your mom is leaning on you only because of financial reasons and has no intention to repairing your relationship. Its gonna end bad.

              Dude, its your mom. She gave you life, raised you, allowed you to go to college (even if she isnt paying for it) and im assuming didnt kick you out. If she has no where to go, you are cold blooded man if you kick her to the curb.

                This. Except you will have to set some perimeters. Does she draw unemployment because she can't work or because she doesn't want to work? If it's the latter set a time limit for her to find a job and set a time limit for her to find another place to live.

                And remember it is your house, be respectful to your Mother but, by no means is she in charge anymore. If she starts giving you or your girl Hell then you remind her where she is. If she continues you remind her where the door is.

                Good luck.

                  Don't let her move in. If you wanna take responsibility for the little brother so be it, but keep her out. PM me, I've been in a similiar situation. Kinda still am.

                    Re: Mom want to move in with me and my roommates.s.

                    While I agree with supporting your mom, how is this helping her long term?

                    The OP's moving when he graduates, mom won't be able to live with him then...moving is a pain, and it'd probably be worse for her having to find a place to live when he moves...

                    I dunno, there just seems to be more questions than just "take care of mom"...what's truly best in this case?

                        Give her a bus ticket to the nearest family she has house. Because I am telling you now, if she moves in, she will just poison your relationship that you and your GF has. Which in turn might cause your GF to leave you.

                        I seen it happen many times before with friends and relatives of mines.

                            mom = grown azz person

                            And besides he isn't even close to his mom. It would be different if they were, but they been at war for 3 years.

                            I find it hard to believe she don't have ANY relatives or boyfriend or friends period that won't take her in. If she burnt ALL of those bridges then she has serious problems and need to be taking to a woman's shelter to help her straighten her life out.
