    Networking a PS3???

Who is the expert at this?

Very annoying. I flipped the switch on my PS3, enabled my PC, and I now have the Windows logo on my PS3 with my computer name.

I can see photos on my PC.

I sometimes see music, and sometimes I don't.

As for video, I see one file, and it is in a random folder, and I am not sure why it is showing up at all.

I live in a condo with neighbors close by. I got two requests to allow or deny their PC's for sharing. I didn't allow them in, but my point is I know my PC is set up correctly. At least, it seems like it is.

Does my media need to be in a certain folder on my PC?

Another note, my photos are all showing up twice. And in My Pictures, they are only there once.

on your pc where you have the option of media sharing you can select your ps3 and if other pc's show up then you deny them. on your ps3 you will see media player sharing or something like that that's your computer media outlet everything media in your cpu will be there.

do you have music on your computer and if so is it in your media player (windows media player that is) if your videos and music isn't in there then you need to download them into your windows media player and make sure your media player is current

            Media Player is current.

Some photos and video are in there. Still not showing up though.

Do I need to have uPnP enabled on my router?

I have been using TVeristy. Is that the same thing?

UPnP was enabled. Until I started using this I was having problems with the out of the box Windows stuff.

ps2, just download ps3 media server. It works with everything you can throw at it plus it also works with xbox 360 too.

This. All you'll ever need. It streams HD content if you have any and transcodes any content the PS3 can't transcode on its own. Its great.
