Some things you just can't make up.

No joke I had to get my car towed home last nite and when the tow truck driver got me home and unloaded my car he said it would be $75. I gave him a $100 bill. He looked at me and asked "Whats 75 out of 100?". I told him 50 and he said okay. He didnt know what it was! And the whole time driving me home he was on the phone with his girlfriend. Saying stuff like "You know I love you baby, no baby don't do that." And to top it off, "I wish you wouldn't drink baby because when you start drinking you always start kissing and making out with other girls." You cant make this stuff up.

His girlfriend was making out with other girls? mmmm....lucky guy

Just kidding, poor guy. I guess he's not educated/smart, but that's the way he is. As long as he lives his life and doesn't bother anyone there's nothing wrong with that.
So did you actually pay less? Is that what you said? If so, I hope you did pay enough at the end, it's not a nice thing to do.

I was honest with him and took my 25 in change. I just had to find out if he was that dumb. Most everything is funny to me and when I'm hit with a situation like that I have to entertain myself.

It has been said that "A fool deserves to be separated from his money."

That being said, you're a better man than I.

So, is it ok stealing from "fools"? Maybe there should be 2 different court houses - one for fools and one for smart people...

One of my students thought 6 20's equal a $100. And he sells drugs too. Go figure! Wonder if he makes a profit.

*sigh* Well, I would have just answered "$25.00" initially, then just given him a disapproving glare.

Also, it's not my quote. Just somebody else's famous quote that I felt applied to the situation.

If his job entails making calculations, he should know basic arithmetic. If he doesn't know how, he should get a calculator.

If he can't think for one second that 75 and 50 don't equate to 100, I see zero issues in depriving him of another extra $25 that he gives me. I get money "taken" from me all of the time, why should this be any different?

Hell, as far as we know, the guy probably even tried to overcharge him another $25 just by "saying" that it was $75 instead. You never know.

I knew it was 75 I got the price from the dispatch when I called

I just mean the way that people sell products and jipp us. Or the way my PS3 broke a week out of warranty and they won't cover it.

So let me get this straight, because your PS3 broke a week out of warranty that suddenly means you should in turn rip someone off as well? Thats some stupid logic right there.

Nope, the last thing I said was merely a bonus. The guy obviously didn't know how to make the calculation, and he shouldn't be trusting someone else to do it for him. It's not like you literally took money out of his wallet. Hey, your excuse could be that you were mathematically illiterate too.

Ehh, I prefer (at least try hard) to be honest at all means possible. I don't take someone elses stupdity as an an opportunity to rip them off. I'm sure I could steal a lot of stuff based on other peoples ignorance or negligence, but it's not the way I was raised to do things. I'm sure I could rip off the little kids that come to my door selling crap for school, but that money is probably going to have to be made up out of their (or their parents) pockets. I'm sure I could rip off most stores when an employee goes in the back room to check to see if somethings in stock, but I'd just feel bad. Hell, I always find myself correcting cashiers when they fail to ring up something in my order.

The way I see it, I owe that guy for his service at whatever price he charges me.
