Re: Ever been on TV?
I was on several times when I did in-game entertainment for the Pirates. Usually happened before or after a commerical break, they'd air a few seconds of us making a balloon animal or hat for a kid for background when the put the linescore up. All part of the master plan to make Pittsburghers forget baseball games should be about baseball...
And my hand could clearly be seen holding a news microphone for a report on a PA state budget rally/protest I attended. The reporter was late, so it was just the camera guy and he was trying to shoot and hold the mic. I felt bad and helped him out... but really I was trying to launch my career as a hand model.Last edited by Qb; 02-16-2010, 05:02 PM.Comment

Re: Ever been on TV?
Maybe. My family went to Florida when I was in the 7th grade. It was October 2001. Some reporter interviewed us outside the hotel about whether or not we had any trepidation about flying after 9/11 or something. I didn't talk, because I was like 12 and only cared about getting my picture taken with the damn Tigger, but they made me stand in front of my parents while they talked.
We weren't in the hotel for the news that night, so it might've made TV, it might not have.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

I was on ABC twice during the 1991 Iowa/Illinois game when I was is grade school. We were right down by the endzones and ABC had cameras set up right near there.
I also was on WGN and Sportscenter when Sammy Sosa hit a HR into the bleachers during a game against the White Sox. It was during his massive HR season and I had a Iowa football shirt on and the HR was caught by the guy sitting right in front of me.GT: Herkyalert

Re: Ever been on TV?
I don't think I have, but I know my girlfriend has.
She was about 6 (?), I believe, and her mom took her to the shooting range, you know, wholesome American family stuff. A camera crew was there, and asked her if she liked it, to which she said "I really like shooting my gun!"
Now, later on in the news, they spun this to document her as the next Columbine shooter or something. It's really funny, since she had platinum blonde hair and pigtails.
I haven't seen this, but I really really want to.Rose City 'Til I Die

Re: Ever been on TV?
Back in the day at Michigan, it was Tommy Amaker's first public practice. My college bball rabid friend got a couple of us to go with him and watch. Fox Sports Detroit interviewed my friend and I (separately), asking questions about the Amaker hire and whatnot.
I spouted some ish like "I think Tommy's going to change the attitude and culture of the program", it was great. My friend was pissed later in the night when the show was on and only I made it. I didn't really even care that much, just knew what they wanted to hear lolNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
