    its really not that healthy

most natural peanut butter has about 9g protein per 190 calorie serving

that is not a very good protein to calorie ratio not to mention the fact it only has 7g carbs

      Re: Peanut Butter

I keep ketchup and normal Peanut butter outside in the pantry. I haven't bought normal peanut butter in years though, as I eat the organic kind which I have to put in the fridge. With ketchup, normally the bottle recommends putting it in the fridge, but I run through a bottle in a month or two anyway and I figure that the refrigeration just helps it stay fresher longer.

I'm really craving PB. I might have to go buy me some organic peanut butter.

You're not an advocate of eating good fat apparently, which is a pretty outdated philosophy IMO.

So what macros do you use? 40/40/10 for protein/carbs/fat?

            Re: Peanut Butter

I've always put Peanut Butter in the fridge due to oil separation. I now exclusively eat raw Almond Butter; which I also put in the fridge. I don't think you have to put Jif, Skippy, etc. in the fridge. I think those PB are too sugary anyhow.

Also, for folks having a hard time with PB on bread - try toasting the bread first. The PB melts on top - delicious. I even toast my bread if I'm making an almond butter & jelly samich!

I'm on a pretty strange diet because of my IBS but PB is one of the few things that doesn't set off a food trigger.

So I get the Natural Jif, which is good, and keep it in the pantry

                No-Why would you do that
Wouldn't it get hard and hard to spread if it got cold? Also, I lol at the wording of the other option... "Yes- I have it Fridge"... What is "Fridge"? Lol.

I eat Peter Pan, and it stays in the fridge because of my wife. I don't like cold peanut butter, but she eats it more than me so it's always in the fridge.

I just got some almond butter a month ago, and haven't touched the peanut butter since. I think peanut butter goes better on bread, but I don't really eat sandwiches w/ peanut butter anymore, and the almond butter just tastes so much better plain from a spoon.

Anyone who puts Peanut Butter in the fridge should be institutionalized, haha.

I it all natural peanut butter and it last much longer by keeping it in the fridge so that is what I do.

I put my all-natural peanut butter in the fridge so it lasts longer and doesn't get all runny.

My parents put the Gif in the fridge for some reason. I like it at room temperature though because it's easier to spread and mixes well on a sandwich with cold jelly.
