Things to do in San Antonio?

Hey guys, my wife and another couple are going on vacation this summer to San Antonio. This will be our first time going there and so far we have: go to Sea World, go on a ghost hunting trip, visit riverwalk, possibly check out the Alamo and thats about it........

Anyone have any reccomendations on some neat stuff to do/see/visit?

We are staying there a week.

    Thanks in advance.

San Antonio IMO is a fun place to visit. There are a lot of cultural/historical sites to see. First there is the Alamo and its related museums. There is the old Spanish Governor's Palace and San Fernando Cathedral. Theres a sort of "strip" thats located near the Alamo that consists of a lot of outdoor markets and shows.

You have the Riverwalk and Rivercenter Mall and they do guided tours on boats there and you can usually also find live music. You've got a ton of different restaurants and selections of Tex-Mex food. In addition to SeaWorld theres the San Antonio Zoo.

You can also look up their Official Tourism Site for more things to do.

Make sure y'all go downtown to the market and eat at Mi Tierra, best mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Get some of the mexican bread too.

I love San Antonio. It's my favorite city in Texas.

As stupid and lame as this sounds there is a strip of super cheesy side attraction shops/museums near the Alamo. I believe it's in front of a major mall entrance too. Anyway, there is a Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, wax museum and other super lame shops like this. If you like having random fun and enjoy not taking life too seriously it's a good place to go and be stupid and make an *** out of yourselves.

Also, the big mall next to it is pretty nice and even has part of the River Walk guided tour boats drive through it. It's not a super nice mall but sometimes people like to visit things that are familiar just in a different dynamic: shopping, restaurants, etc.

          Good luck and have fun!
