Pshh if I was a mod I wouldn't care at all if I got paid or not. It's hardly a "job". I think it's more just for fun. You can ban people, sticky threads, delete threads, etc. You have a lot more freedom, plus everyone on the boards will respect you a lot more when they see that green name.

That's good to hear. OS needs guys to work for free.

I do genuinely appreciate the mods on this site. I get fed up with agenda driven junk and am glad they have the power to remove a lot of it.

The reason most people want to be a mod is because of the power that you then wield. I've never considered asking for it because I think I would surge with so much power in my veins that the universe would implode and the time space continuum would shatter into a thousand pieces.

I hope Steve Wife's is not a remember of this site, I am sure she likes reading that? I don't know why anyone would want to be a mod. It is a lot of work and you end up not enjoying the site as much in my opinion. Though this site has always had pretty good mods.

Ive been a guest on this site for a while but never a member. I always saw the mods and I think "I can help these guys out with this". What exactly do I have to do to become a Mod? Any special requirements?

first off, you need to have more then one post and put your time in with OS....This is funny, I wanna be a mod and I only joined this month.

I think what is holding you back is that they fear you would give out an infraction and then take it back and then give it back again and then take it back again and so on.

You're born a mod, you don't become one. You can't teach that...
