Trend Micro
I've been using Trend Micro ever since I got this PC. I've always renewed the subscription and stuff but I'm wondering if it's really all that great. I'm not that computer savvy, keep in mind. I have it set up to scan weekly and it never finds anything. Neither does Windows Defender. Is my computer really virus free or are these programs not picking anything up?

Re: Trend Micro
My cousin swears by TrendMicro and he's a computer guru/mad-scientist. I stopped using it though because of the price. I don't use anything on my computer and it's fine. I download various types of media everyday and haven't had any problems having no security.Comment

Re: Trend Micro
I've been told on more than one occasion that having multiple security programs will cause them to "fight" with one another, and having multiple security suites actually crashed my hard drive on one occasion.
Nowadays, I only have Kaspersky Internet Security installed on my machine and it works great. I can't speak for or against Trend Micro as I've never used it.Comment

Not to double-post and not to be Token Paranoid Guy, but without any internet security whatsoever your (I'm assuming Windows) computer can be compromised by outside malicious entities in as little as eight minutes. Having some sort of internet security is a must, really.Comment
