Counter-Strike Hacker stabbed in Brain

A 17-year old gamer playing Counter-Strike in a Jilin, China net café was accused of wall hacking and, following an argument with his accusers, ended up being stabbed in the skull by with a 12-inch long knife.

Hot Blooded Gaming has the story of the incident, which, in turn, is taken from a Sankaku Complex translation of a Chinese blog. The 17-year old stabbing victim retained consciousness and was rushed to the hospital, where it’s reported that after hours of surgery, the knife was removed and the boy appeared to be recovering. Doctors said that the rusty knife missed major arteries, though the boy was placed under observation due to possible complications from the rust on the knife.

The café in question was apparently quite liberal in requiring IDs for entry, making it popular with local youth.

Dont get me wrong, I would like to beat the crap out of hackers. But Stabbing them in the Head...Yea thats a little off.

Don't you find it somewhat hypocritical that you are making a joke out of this serious incident after making such a big deal out of the picture in the Kornheiser thread?

You are trying to make light of a serious situation in an attempt for humor, it's no different than what you gave Brankles a hard time for doing in that thread.

So me saying it is a miracle he is still alive after his brain was hacked is the same at laughing at someone who died? I never gave Brankles a hard time.I never even said anything to Brankles at all. I gave the person who said it was funny even after he knew someone died.

I didn't find the act that amazing, but the fact that he lived with a knife puncturing that much of his brain is amazing. Lucky guy? IDK.

Ha. I always wondered why people did that anyway... it just gives you a positive handicap in the game you're playing. Isn't the point of the game to see who the best is on an even (or as close to even as possible) playing field? It doesn't make sense to me. Then again, there probably is no explanation for wanting to cheat to win a meaningless game. People just do it to do it.
