Call the store 1st, don't rely on what the website says, Walmart related in a way LOL

Ok I am starting to get annoyed everytime I go to a store and see a customer yell at a store associate because they don't have what they want. Maybe it is because I use to be one and know how it feels.

But please people call the store 1st before you drive to go buy something, especially if you shopping at Walmart. Walmart website in particular says 99% of the time that something is in stock at a store, but in reality, for this area anyway, it is only accurate 15% of the time.

Most of the time the shipment never did arrive and never will be sold at that store, even though the website says it is in stock. I went earlier today and I seen this guy just yelling at this associate for not having a tv.

Keep on yelling it says on your website it is in stock, I want to talk to the store manager. I just looked at this guy and shook my head. Why people just don't take the time to call 1st is beyond me.

It just not a walmart thing, because I been to Best Buy a few times and they didn't have what was said as in stock online. But I just said well that's ok then, I will come back when it is here and just left.

And on a side note........Walmart sells LG tv's now. 32 inch, 42 inch, 46 inch and 55 inch. They all LCD except for the 55, which is LED.

    LOL..

Another Gotmadskillzson thread that involves a "rant" against WalMart...

Seriously...whatever happened between you and WalMart..you need to let it go.

In his defense, it's not a rant against Walmart. It's a rant against people who yell at store associates for not having what they want in stock. I do find it weird that he continues to make Walmart related threads though. lol.

Anyway(this isn't really related to your topic, but it is in the way of yelling at associates), my friends mother used to always tell us to yell at the workers if they don't have something or if they get something wrong. She does it ALL the time, but usually she gets something out of it. Example: One time back in high school I spent the night at my friends. Her mom took us to Pizza Hut. We gave them our order. Got the food and took it home. Once we got back we realized the order was wrong. So she left by herself and went back to get the correct order. She yelled at them, of course, for screwing it up. In the end, they gave us the correct order AND a free medium(maybe small?) pizza just for screwing it up and having to endure her bitching. lol.

Personally, I have too kind of a heart to do that. lol. We're human. We all make mistakes and I'm not going to start screaming at a worker because he messed something up or what have you.

I put rant in quotation marks because this wasn't a rant really against WalMart, but WalMart was referenced and it seems that he's always referencing them for one reason or another in a negative manner.

        Just having fun..nothing serious.

plus i don't think alot of people know that there is a serious difference in Walmart the superstore. and Walmart.com

Walmart is the store in your neighborhood. Walmart.com is a warehouse that just ships out stuff bought online even when it says its available in your local store doesn't mean it has the updated supply listing in that store

Plus people inthe food industry are capable of manipulating your food in ways that you may not notice easily but would be disgusted if you did find out. Also you never know what people are going through and I'd hate to be the person to push them over the edge.

People really don't pay attention. They probably overlook whether it says its in stock for in-store shipping as well. It might take a couple more days but its better than yelling at people for something they can't control. My mom works at Wal-Mart and I can't think of probably more than 3 days she hasn't had a problem with a customer doiong something completely dumb.

I think the problem is you're shopping at Walmart.

This. I never try to complain about my food. Now if it's nothing what I ordered or if came with something on it that I said I didn't want I will kindly ask they to fix it but I will never go in there yelling and demanding it will be fixed. You might as well say, "Just spit in my food."

If it says in stock and a certain store, then it should be in stock. We have technology today where this should be instantaneous.

Yeah, I've been through the same thing many of times when I worked at Rooms To Go and Ashley Furniture. People see something online (or in a National sales advertisement) and automatically assume that we would have it on the floor. Then once they get there they're like "I drove 45 minutes to come here and you don't even have what I came here to see, I'll never shop here again, blah, blah, blah, blah". So annoying.

I hate customer service. I know how it is that why I never give people crap about being out of a product. It's not like the sales associate or cashier makes those TV's or whatever right behind the desk lol.

This. I try not to shop at walmart and am not familiar with their website, but I know that Sam's Club's site, who is owned by Walmart, will ask me my zip code, then have me pick the nearest location and then will tell me if an item is in stock, low stock, or out of stock at that store. If it's low stock, I know I run the risk of it not being there when I get there. I've never had the issue, but if it was in stock at the store according to the website and out of stock in the store, I'd be a little pissed. Why even have the website offer this info if it isn't trustworthy.

If they told me they just sold it to 100 people, then what can I do, but if they tell me they've been out of stock for days, then I think I have a legit complaint.

Walmart tells you when the item was in stock right on the same screen when you click find in store. I don't know what people's problem is. Unless you are standing in the store at the same time the inventory was updated, it could have been sold.
