    Top my bad weekend.

What a messed up weekend, the fact I am not writing "Brooks was here" is amazing.

Lets start it off with Friday.

I have not been able to find a new job after I left a temp position nearly 5 months ago.

    1. I get thrown out of the house because My Mom wants to move her ex-husband back in(Mega Fight). (He can't afford to pay her 70k a year in the divorce settlement and live on his own, she does not want to risk losing her free ride) So obviously I am a deadbeat because I cant make enough money for a place of my own. If I don't leave she threatened to call the police on me.

    Friday Night
    2. I bring everything I have back to my dads, which is like a time capsule from 10 years ago. Then my childhood dog of 18 years back legs give out, she has seizures all night. The vet can't put her down till morning.

    Saturday
    3. Take dog to vet to be put down. (Very Sad)

    4. I'm a mess, so the only person I have to call is my ex-girlfriend I broke up with last week(We've been on and off for 2 years, but still up to this point we were exclusive to each other) I take her to lunch. She drops this bombshell on me.............She currently bangin some loser guy from the meth-bar she works at AND ...... dating a GIRL from school. Oh yeah and shes back to doing coke and god knows what else.

    Sunday

    5. Migraine Headache/No motivation/Time for Nyquil.

That really sucks..I thought I was having a bad weekend coming into here, embarrassed myself...but I need to get my head out of the hole, it isn't too terrible. Things could always be worse, and things will get better for you anyways I am sure, this was all just bad timing and such...I would be amazed if things do not work out after a couple of weeks or months...or at least you will feel somewhat better.

On another note..I just saw Shawshank Redemption for the first time yesterday...

        Dang.......

I hate when moms put men before their own kids. Don't matter how old you get, you are still your mom kid and blood SHOULD go before anything else.

Now I know you got an MBA and all, but ummmm I would work at a store. Don't care if it was Walmart. I had to do it. Some job is better then no job.

Being from Chicago myself, I would say try to work in Oakbrook, Rolling Meadows or Auroa. Most of the companies in downtown Chicago left to those suburbs 10 years ago because of how high the property taxes and taxes period is in Chicago.

Me personally I am moving to the northeast. The great lakes region is dried up for jobs, too many people got degrees out here. So it is like yeah you got a MBA, but in Chicago you got 500k other people with one too.

Get on facebook or something and try to connect with some of your college or high school buds and see what they up to and network with them. You will be surprised how much people can change over the years.

I know for me when I did that, I found out my ex college and high schools buds is scattered throughout the US now, working some pretty good jobs , so therefore I got some good leads off of them.

Sorry to hear about that USF. I think a lot of us have had some pretty nasty moments this year. That's what makes this forum so good. Helps us all get through the rough times. When I had my boiler/furnace die earlier this year, being able to vent about here and gain support through the financial roughness was helpful. When I then suffered a calf injury that was somewhat related to the lack of heat, the forum helped. When some douche hit my car and wrecked the front end of it without leaving a note and forcing me to pay $1200 for repairs, the forum was here. Finally, when I broke multiple bones in my foot a month ago and have been hobbled on crutches and painkillers, and the inability to enjoy the amazing spring weather we're having and get out golfing, the people here on this forum have been a great source of support.

It's part of what makes the internet so valuable. Without it, I'm not sure how I'd have been able to handle what I've had to go through so far.

Dude, I am sorry to hear all this. This rough for sure. My wife's mom kinda treats her the same way. Whenever she has a man, my wife gets treated like dirt.

All I can say is try to keep your head up. I know its hard bro. Hang in there.

                I'm feeling your pain USF..

It's been a pretty bad month.
Bad news all around for my family...and watching my wife struggle through it(she too suffers from migraines like you)...is harder than having it happen to me myself.
We also had to put our dog Smokey to sleep. 14 years....best girl ever.(they all are, right?!).....DEVESTATING

Hope things turn around for you.

And you're still breathing...take time to be appreciative of the live you have. Have you considered moving to another state?

Be a cop, seriously. If you have a clean record it's not a bad job man.

I can live comfortably and do what I want. Work my 40 hours/week and get out of tickets and get free food.
