In high school? My faves were probably AP U.S. History and an architectural drafting course I took for three years.
In college, my favorites were chemistry and a tie between soil mechanics and the year long senior design project where we designed the replacement structure for the Golden, CO fire department.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams

I'm about to graduate from college, but in high school...
I was always into numbers and statistics, so Math was my favorite until I ran into Trigonometry and Calculus.
My last few years of high school, though, I'd probably say English. It gave me a good chance to show off my writing skills, and I started to like the idea of no black and white answers, no absolutes.
I HATED science and history though. I never really "got" science, and history just bored the hell out of me. I understand you have to know about history or you are doomed to repeat the past, but I wasn't interested in learning about some crap that happened 300 years ago. What's done is done.

My favorite was always history and english. History can definitely be boring, depending upon the teacher, but if it's taught right it's very interesting to me. English I always loved for the reasons bgeno cites, I was able to write, which I greatly enjoyed, and it was nice to be able to demonstrate that.
Yes I was one of the rare people in high school that absolutely hated multiple choice tests and loved essay tests. If we had an essay test, no matter the subject, I almost always aced it. Multiple choice I hated because all of the answers would simply make me question myself. The problem with history is most teachers don't teach history, they teach dates/names. I remember learning about the Civil War in high school and it bored me to tears. All it was in class was this battle, this date, this general, blahblahblah. But then after I got into college I started reading a book called Killer Angels, which was all about the Civil War and WOW, the whole thing came to life.
It made me realize that teachers should try to teach history in a way that lets you learn all about the subject at hand and not simply memorize dates and names.
