Am I Wrong

First of all I want to say what I'm bout to do is something I would never do cause I dont want the attention or anything and really dont wanna do it but i cant talk to my friends about it cause of the situation. But Thursday I found out that one of my best friends had passed away. Growing up there was a group of 4 of us that were always together, so ive been with the other 3 most of my time. This is hardest thing I've been through, seems like every time I get my act together, someone calls me or text me to say sorry or i have to tell people the news and I start crying again.

But the reason I'm posting this thread is for another reason. I told my ex girlfriend about what had happened and she said she was sorry and everything, now before we were dating she was one of my closest girl friends. Well this morning night i get a text from her at like 1:30 from her seeing if i was dong ok, and we talked about it for a couple mins. Since it was so late i was like what are you doing are you out, and she said i was at work than at a friends house. Now we are recently broken up, cause we were on and off for so long but still did everything. But i ended up getting her to tell me she was hanging out at a guys house. Now that just killed me to know that she was out having fun with another guy while i was just sitting at home struggling all night, and she didnt even come to my house and check up on me or just call me to talk knowing how bad i was hurting. And the fact that she didnt try to get ahold of me until after she was out. She said "she couldnt have been able to fall asleep until she knew i was alright".

Am i wrong for telling her that I cant even talk to her anymore and don't even wanna see her at all again. I just couldn't believe that she would do something like that knowing my current situation. Like I don't care if she's start hanging out with other guys but to know that one of my best friends just died and I had nothing else and she just out having fun.

You're not wrong. She was inconsiderate.

Maybe you will change how you feel because you're probably really emotionally unstable right now (that's not a bad thing, just reality) but for right now, someone you care about should at least be willing to comfort you in a time of hurt.

You might want to share how you feel with her as well. I personally was in a similar situation and left someone in my past because of a similar reaction (not another guy, but not as considerate to the fact that I was hurting at the time).

Sorry for your loss. She could have been more considerate. However, y'all are NOT together and she didn't HAVE to call/text in the first place.

You wouldn't be the 1st person to say you don't want any further contact with an ex. I personally, wouldn't rush into making that decision.

What the helll dude.........no offense but that is your EX. What makes you think she was going to put her life on hold for you ? Life goes on. I mean hell before you told her, she probably had plans made before hand anyway.

So what she was suppose to do ? Tell the new guy she trying to date that she got to cancel the date because my ex is crying and he needs me to hold him ?

You know full well that wouldn't sound right. And you know if a girl you were trying to date cancel your date to go to her crying ex boyfriend house to hold him you would have a fit.

Life goes on. Was she close to this guy to? Every body deal with it different. When my brother die; I was wanted to be left alone. I didn't want to talk to anyone. My mom wanted to talk; my dad wanted to talk, and so did my wife.

Sorry for you loss man. The guy is down, please don't knock him any further. In some ways she is a little wrong (by telling him she was at another dudes house) and other ways they aren't together anymore so to her that is the excuse.

The reality is they weren't in a relationship so he can't be upset at her for that but he isn't wrong to feel like someone he thought was a certain way isn't.

I think that's more the issue here.

I'm sorry for your lose, but you are in the wrong. She was cared enough to check up on you, but you kept probing for information and ended up finding out something you didn't want to hear. Also shes your EX, she's not obligated to come check up on you. She moved on is trying to meet other dudes and since you kept probing for information, you heard something you didn't want to hear and you ended up taking out your frustrations on her.

No, if that's how you feel - there's nothing wrong with that. Even if you wanted her to kind of chase after you a bit using a bit of reverse psychology that's normal too.

I have an EX too and have been having issues that I'm sure you could relate to. The bottom line though is not if you're wrong or not. Your question is really a decision you have to make. Do you want to cut her out of your life (pro's are you move on and lose negative feelings when in contact with her) or do you want her to be part of your life - and in that case in what capacity?

This is what I'm struggling with too. I think it's naturally heading to a complete cut-out. She's doing things that insult me (would insult anyone) I'm calling her on it (I confront people immediately always have) and she's getting bitchy/pissed at me as a result. In her mind it's wrong for me to criticize her.

So ... I don't know, if you guys weren't a great couple anyway, i think it's much easier to remain friends. If you had a long, deep and serious one I'm starting to think it's not really possible to remain friends.
