    And the weave was born...

So many Females(of my race) have the same story, but 9months is the youngest I've heard SMH...

How long does it take their hair to go back to its natural state after using a relaxer?

I did not know what a relaxer was. I thought it was sexual.

Somebody arrest that babysitter for child endangerment. They took that just for me commercial to the extreme. I mean seriously how nappy could a 9 month old child hair be ???? She just messed that child hair up for the rest of her life.

LOL!! That is ignorance at its finest. I'm surprised the mother allowed her to tape that. My child will get her first perm when she is out of my house and able to afford it. My wife has been off the relaxer since college when she met me. She didn't know how her hair was before it. Love my daughter's hair. We don't braid her hair tight, we don't put it into any ghetto pony tail, and we sure don't put any chemicals in it. Only hair grease mixed with olive oil. That child looked like a boy from the back. It's a shame what our culture has gotten use to without contemplating the long-term effects.......

Yea I don't think most folks even think it is anything physically wrong with it. Even though I hear it BURNS their scalps when they get their perms.

Reminds me of the movie Malcolm X where Denzel was in the toilet trying to get the perm out because they didn't have water. It's sad. It's along the same lines as having young children learn how to juke or dress like "gansters" because it's cute. I grow more disappointed with "my" people by the hour.......
