    Writing a resume

I'm looking for any suggestions for websites or templates to use for writing a resume. I'm not looking for a specific kind of job so just a basic professional resume template. Anyone know of a good site?

This site will cost you a few bucks, but the templates for resume and cover letter are good, easy to use and there's some nice layout and graphic elements as well:

I would save the money and use a template that comes with MS Word.

actually most employers frown upon using some of MS Word templates.

Are you still in school or recently graduated? I went back to USC after graduation and somebody helped me with mine.

I just used one that a friend had gotten and looked nice.

Just make sure to spell check and change the name and address to your own. I know this sounds dumb, but I've read online of people who submitted 50 copies of their resume at a job fair before realizing that they didn't change the address/phone from their friend's lol

Gamecock's right though, your school should have some sort of professional development department that'll help you with this.

I used my school's career services and got great 1 on 1 service on demand. If you have that luxury, take advantage of it. I think it'll give you more than nearly any website will.
