Guys, listen to what George Carlin says on this. All of it is good, but the global warming piece comes around the 1:50 mark. Be careful, heavy language is used.

From what I understand it is the methods of industry, and not individuals, that do the most harm to the earth. Because everything I've read and seen about environmental degradation and global warming points the finger at the methods of industry, even the most far left will tell you this...

So considering that the general population has really nothing to do the methods of industry, why is there such a push to scare the living crap out of people with fears of global warming and the like???

I really wasn't necessarily looking for an answer as much as I was just pointing out the hysteria...

Because let's say we are indeed at a tipping point, and in fact it's even worse than the most dire of predictions... How is fear going to help??? If anything it'll only make it worse.

It's extremely irresponsible of scholars and politicians to aim all this jargon at the general populous... Especially when it's got little to nothing to do with them!

I understand the thinking... That when people get together for a cause they can make a difference... Blah blah blah...

But why not just go to industry itself?! Surely they are interested in sustainability, no? Why the **** wouldn't they be?!

The worse part about it all is that you get a bunch of chatterboxes spewing out empty slogans and political one liners, all leading to no end because any actual change must be within industry itself...

It's the leaven of the Pharisees... Permeating every part of the dough...
