Well it suppose to rain the next 2 days up here.......But far as attractions.....

    1. The whole downtown area.......beautiful buildings to see. Check out Navy Pier, Tribune Building, Marshal Field building, Daley Plaza.

    2. Far as food, Greek Town, best gyros ever.

    3. Nike store downtown.

Hell just stay downtown, tons of crap to do down there for DAYS.

It's Chicago..........don't need transportation. They have buses that run 24 hours a day 7 days a week that go down damn near every main street in the city. Plus they have trains that run 24 hours a day 7 days a week that go in all directions.

Chicago is truly a city where do you don't need a car at all.

If you're going to be hanging out downtown then Portillo's baby. Best hot dogs and italian beef in Chicago. Plus the restaurants have themes to them. I think the one downtown is a '30s theme. It's on Ontario.

Also, not all the bus and train routes run 24/7 so I'd definitely take a look http://www.transitchicago.com/ there to get an idea on the routes and what times they run. If you're out late you don't wanna get stuck having to catch a cab cause your route is done for the night. I've had that happen before and it's not fun.

God, I went to Chicago last year and it was positively AWESOME.

Wrigleyville is great, downtown is clean and safe. Great good. Al's #1 Beef was amazing, we went to Gibson's Steakhouse which was pretty nice but not mindblowing.

I liked Lou Malnatis over Gino's East, just me though.

One night we went to a bar called The Publican. It's an old German-style gastropub. They have fresh pork rhinds and some of the most delicious beer in the world.

Magnificent Mile was amazing, every store imaginable.

Just so cool, so fun. We didn't really get into the nightlife though, maybe we went to the wrong places.

I love Chicago, it is easily my favorite big city in America that I've been too.

Malnati's is definitely worth that top billing on your list of stops. Mag Mile is amazing. I'd also recommend checking out something at the Chicago theater, there's usually always something fun going on there, if nothing else the ABC 7 studio is right across the street. They have the giant window on the ground floor right outside the studio where they do the news so you can stand in the background and act like a goof lol. Too bad your trip isn't here anytime soon, looking at the theater website, Conan O'Brien is there on the 19-20 this month.

Don't forget to stop by a Harold's Chicken Shack. Now that's Chicago!

                        -- Pizza
Lou Malnati's is definitely at the top of my list for pizza. The big Chicago named pizza's (Geno's, Uno) don't really do much for me. If you like pizza, you definetely have to try Lou Malnati's. Don't forget to get their Chocolate Chip Cookie Pizza for desert. You won't be disappointed.

If you want a real local pizza joint, try Pequod Pizza'. Best crust in the world, they carmelize the cheese on their crust, so it's just an amazing experience.

                        -- Steak
Gibson's is good. It's a known name, so it's always busy. But Steak lovers, you have to try Ruth Chris. I've never been to Wildfire so I can't say.

If you have a huge appetite, check out our Brazillian Steakhouses.. Fogo de Chao

                        -- Shopping
Mag Mile is nice.. but you have to have a lot of $$$ Check out State Street if you want stores such as Macy's, Gap, American Eagle. State Street is also where the Chicago Theatre is, so you have a great photo op with the huge CHICAGO sign.

Check out Navy Pier if you have kids.

                        -- Night Life
This is where it gets great. Wrigleyville is always a good place. Also check out Wicker Park (my fave) Lincoln Park (Mostly college students, Depaul U is here) and downtown has some nice chill lounges and clubs.

                        Check out http://chicago.metromix.com/

For comedy, check out Second City (where Chris Farley started) and Improv Olympics

I recommend getting tickets to either shows.

I think that's about it. Let me know if you have any questions. or want to know of a specific place to go to. This weekend is suppose to be great! in the upper 70's.

If you or your group is into excercise, I recommend going to Navy Pier early morning, renting a bike, and riding it along lake shore drive. On a nice sunny day, nothing beats that.

                          Re: Going to Chicago tomorrow

I was in Chicago a couple years ago and really enjoyed it.

Comedysportz was solid improv. Geno's East was pretty good as well. Not far from Geno's is Ed Debevic's, which is a pretty fun diner if you're up late and want to order some food from some (intentionally) surly waitresses.

One thing I really enjoyed while I was in Chicago even though I generally hate guided tours was the Architecture Boat Tour. You got a good tour of the city and saw some very cool buildings. Check it out if that kind of thing appeals to you.

Besides that, Millenium Park (I believe that's what it's called) is really nice and of course don't miss a game at Wrigley.
