    Hit and Run

So yesterday my girlfriend (who I live with) finalizes a lease for a 2010 Nissan Altima.... Well we're driving home tonight, a few blocks from the apartment and some jerk-face rear ends us while we're at a stoplight, thankfully nothing major but enough to dent in the rear bumper and bottom of the trunk...

So my girlfriend asks me to stay in the car (I guess she thought I'd be pissed and break the guys face, which I wasn't near angry enough to do at that moment but anyways) so she talks to the guy he hands her his license but she can't find a pen, she gives it back and they agree to pull off the road into the parking lot of a restaurant that was across the street. As soon as we pull in and I get out I notice this piece of scum hadn't pulled into the parking lot. He's gone, we didn't get any info. I have no clue how people can be like this and sleep at night.

Is it a bit extreme to wish death upon him ??? what about loss of limb?? is that more acceptable ?? I'd totally break his face now :-)

Damn that sucks. Have you called the police. They might not be able to find him but it never hurts.

Damn that does suck. Hope the police can find him(if you've called), but it'll be hard. Did you at least get a good look at the car?

Yeah I was on the phone with the police while my girlfriend was talking to the guy, she then called back when we realized that he took off. We gave them the description of the car (more or less).

Never trust anyone in that situation. Always take it upon yourself to get info needed. Always get the license plate too. And if you can't write any info down because you don't have a pen, use a cell phone, like a text or something, or take a pic of it with the camera.

Yeah, you hear more and more about cell phone pictures being used in cases like this. I upgraded my phone just to get a better camera...not nessesarily for stuff like this but I like the option.

That's the first thing that came to mind. Take a pic of his plate number with your phone.
