Re: Do you consider taking supplements "cheating" ?
I think "cheating" shouldn't be your priority. Your long term health should be your priority. In my opinion, supplements like the ones you are taking aren't a long term health risk. Manipulating your hormone levels would be a long term health risk.
Do people survive steroids? Yeah, but it's still a big risk that's not worth it. Oh yeah... it's illegal too.
Unless you are planning a career in bodybuilding i wouldn't risk roids. Like BigDofBA said steroids are aren't some magic potion that turns you into Ronnie Coleman without heaps of hard work, dedication and an excellent diet. I know a guy at the gym i used to go too who ran a pretty big course of roids and didn't workout as much as he should (he barley came to the gym once a week) and all he did was get fatter and got acne.
Great progress pic Rip, def looks like the hard work is paying off.Comment

Good work Project.
I to am in the same phase as you. Except I was not lossing weight instead I wanted to bulk up.
I started out at 165 of out of shape, always "looked" in shape because I have always been very into sports. I was 175 in highschool when I played WR in highschool. Fast forward 10 years of not working out and I settled at 165 walking weight but out of shape. Not fat just not tone.
I hit a strong bulk routine, started eating clean. Brown rice, wheat bread, drink over a gallon of water a day. Along with taking Creatine, Jack3d, Gold Standard Whey Protein, Casein Protein, green Tea extract, and Amino Fuel. I am now 176.
So in little over 3 months I have got more cut, and put on over 10 lbs of muscle. I am starting to "look" much bigger. Shirts sleeves fitting tight around arms, chest real noticeable in T's, traps making me appear larger, etc
I don't consider the supplments unhealthy by any means. Creatine is naturally produced in the body so that is normal. Protein we eat and use through our everyday lives, same thing with Amino acids and Green tea. All these things are natural to the body.
Basically by living this way we are much more healthy than before. So I look at supplements as a requirement to live the best.

Re: Do you consider taking supplements "cheating" ?
The weird thing about Jack3d there is not much information on it. I've heard NO EXPLODE has more of a kick of creatine...While Jack3d has a kick of caffeine. I take Jack3d for two reasons 1. It's cheaper 2. I just take half the creatine suggested on my elixir to kind of make up for the creatine I'm not putting in my body.
I've had both...But it's extremely easy to accidently OD on Jack3d. I'll tell you what if you OD on Jack3d you will have the best workout of your life, but after the workout your heart is racing and is definitely not worth it. That's just me though.Comment

Jack3d has a great "speed" effect of making you want to hit the weights hard. I also get much great pump out of jack3d than I do NO explode. Can push more weight and do more reps. ONLY thing I dislike about jack3d is how it keeps me wide awake for 6 hours or more. But that could just be my body. My girl uses it and could crash couple hours after taking it. Not me.
That's a great combo Phobia...Spendy as well lol. I assume you buy online?

I also just added Glutamine to my supplement routine as of today.

I love the taste of no-xlpode but it doesn't really do much for me.
I prefer no-shotgun or Jack3d.***My Teams***

honestly guys, I'd recommend you ditch the supps like Jack3d all together. All they are doing is jacking you up w/ caffeine/other stimulants. It's a waste of money
anything thats useful in those supps you can get elseware for cheaper, and in the process cut out all the crap bs that they put in there and pretend that its doing something when all scientific evidence is to the contrary
you're better off getting protein, pure mono creatine (cheap and lasts forever, unlike when you by it in supps like Jack3d), fish oil, multi vitamin, and then just by some caffeine pills (you can go into a 7/11 and get 16 [200 mg's each] for 3 bucks) if you really want that energy boost... it will do the same thing for a lot less money (and you'll be putting less crap in your body in the process)Comment

Re: Do you consider taking supplements "cheating" ?
I'd also ditch all the amino crap like glutamine
the marketing that says it speeds recovery and increases fat loss is bs... again there is no scientific evidence to support these claims
glutamine is just one amino acid... one that you are 99.9% most likely already getting from your diet and any protein powders you take... adding extra glutamine into your system is like throwing bricks into your living room, all it does it clutter the **** out of it, it doesnt give you a bigger living room as there are many other things necessary for that to happen
in fact, the only thing glutamine suppliments have been proven to be useful for are people like burn victims and HIV patients, who have an insufficient amount of it in their system. For normal people, taking glutamine wont hurt you, but it will waste your moneyComment
