Same. And I actually like the atmosphere they add. There wasn't, isn't, and never will be a sport that can match the atmosphere of World Cup soccer.

Banning them is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

This. Good thing FIFA has said they won't ban them, just because some crybaby players can't hear themselves. They create such a great atmosphere. I love it.

I don't know what it sounds like live but if it's like the video I'd seriously get sick to my stomach.

They are a big cultural icon over there.

The NFL isn't a global event, so if they ever became popular he would have no problem banning them.

The only reason we have this thread is because the sports talk radio stations mentioned it; so now everybody is on the get rid of it bandwagon. I notice it for a few then I don't notice it anymore.

Thundersticks are nowhere near as bad as those things, which could actually be damaging to the ears.

Again, I'd MUCH rather hear chanting/singing at these events than a constant buzz.

I like it, it adds to the atmosphere. With that being said I am someone who watched it on tv. Not so sure i'd love it as much if I was actually at the World Cup. They should not ban these things IMO.

Lots of people have been complaining about these since the confederation's cup. I don't know what's good about a constant buzzing sound but that's just me.
