5,000 texts a day? That's insaaane... I was thinking I was getting way too high up there with like 2,000 a month. I guess this puts it all in perspective...

I had 5,000 a month once and that was a pretty huge deal but that was when I had a new girlfriend I didn't have the opportunity to see a lot. I couldn't imagine doing that in a day or even doing it in a month again

My ex gf used to text all the time non-stop. One day she got her statement in and had a whole rack of text messages, later we counted how many text message she did in a day and it was like 280. Well needless to say after knowing how much text messages she had and knowing alot of them were to me but no idea who the rest coulda been, well we aren't a couple anymore. No way someone should have that many text messages. It's sad really. Now said girl has a new guy in her life and now texts me alot, and I rarely respond because I once was in this guys position.

Text Messaging is the devil.

The most I have sent in a day was 500. It was the first homecoming after graduation so everyone was in town and I always seem to the the coordinator. I had to recharge my phone twice that day.

i think the most i've ever texted is ~100 in a month... and even that tired me out.

Texting has a way of sneaking up on you.

Some weeks leading into a big indy show, my phone logs in similar numbers... but less on a normal week.

You got 20 to 30 plus people asking questions and passing along info at the same time. It just adds up.

The most texts I have ever sent in a month is about 250... you people are crazy to pay for unlimited texts, get on facebook and be happy

My family doesn't use the phone anymore. They only text. So we discuss things like Grandpa's surgery and stuff that really should never be discussed in text, in messages. But when I call anyone they "don't have time-can I call you back?" despite the fact that they're sitting there texting me up a storm. So aggravating!!

I personally think texting is a complete waste of time. By the time you have typed out your gibberish you could have called them up and be talking to them.

It's unreal how some people are so obsessed with their phones. I've sat in restaurants and seen women pick up their phone every 10 seconds texting something. Put it down, phone vibrates, texts back, puts it down, repeat, repeat, repeat.

Yea...I would be seriously concerned about your daughter....think you probably need to find out who she is texting, what she is texting about, why she is spending literally every second of the day on her cell phone?

LiverPoolRed - Texting is desired by people over phone conversations simply because you can answer at your convenience, instead of having to be engaged in a conversation. I get that and I like to text personally. However if you are having a long conversation with a lot of long texts you are right, it makes much more sense to simply call the person.

My complaint is my family won't use the phone anymore and text everything. I mean my grandmother is in dire health and expected to die soon and last week I was talking funeral plans with my mom while walking the dog. Funeral plans via text!!! I mean that, to me, is utterly carrying it too far.
