It must be lonely being an Pitt fan in NY. You can't go to their home games, you can if you're willing to drive 2+ hours, you can't watch their games on TV locally, nor hear any talk about them on the radio stations, nor can you go to bars for their games. Actually, I got to see about 2/3 of their games last year because the Miami/VT games were national games, the local stations carry the Big East Game of the Week on ESPN+, and I was home over Thanksgiving to see the WVU game (grr).
The only time it really sucks is NFL because I'm stuck watching the Giants or Jets, and the NFL sold their souls to Direct TV.
