Re: How do you deal with embarrassment?

LOL, good stuff. Generally, when I get drunk I just get really outgoing. I drunk text, but who doesn't? It's usually nothing more than seeing what's up. The only bad part is it's usually girls I don't want to send that signal to.

I think my most embarrassing would be the night I made a girl cry. I was a little drunk and she was smoking in the fraternity house(which isn't allowed and will incure a monetary fine). I told her to either take her *** outside or put it out. She said **** no go away you ***hole and kept smoking. So I went off on her about smoking in the house and about talking me to like that in my house. 2 minutes of ranting and a "just leave the house and go somewhere else" later, she's crying. She goes outside and sits out on the back patio. I walk outside where one of my brothers is trying to console her(i.e. trying to get laid). I looked at her and told her to GTFO. She still sat there. Everyone from inside is outside now watching. Again, I told her to hit the bricks with her cancerous habit and disrespectful bs(to keep things PG..). At that point everyone's in awe that I'm doing this(I had to since at the time I was on Exec and the 3rd ranking member of the house...in other words I was not one to mouth off to). She got up..and left. We all went back inside and turned the music backed on. She never came back lol.

Some guy told me that if I don't drink I'll have a hard time making friends and enjoy myself. Well, if I drink just to "make friends", that's certainly not enjoyment.
Agreed. I don't drink and don't plan on even getting a sip of alcohol. Nothing against anyone who does drink, but alcohol in no way, shape or form appeals to me.
I prefer to live a sober life. Never done drugs, never will. Never drank alcohol, never will. One thing I hate hearing is "oh you will drink eventually." I'm sorry, but I won't. I have something called self-control.

As for embarrassment...hm...I don't get embarrassed that easily, usually if something happens I just laugh and move on.
I will spill this that I have to say is the most embarrassing thing to ever happen to me.

Senior year of High School, Prom night. Head back to my girlfriend's place afterward. So it's late and we decide to pop in a movie and just chill. Soon enough we are smoochin it up. Things are going great and it looked like this could go somewhere serious. After a while, though, I start to feel a bit nauseous. I stop the love makin to use the bathroom, collect myself.
My stomach was turning, we did eat at a restaurant earlier and maybe some of the food just wasn't settling well. I didn't think much of it.
We resume, but within about 5 minutes I have to puke. We were kissing for a while and for whatever reason, I just had to explode. I pulled away and nearly hit her with the projectile(I didn't hit her, luckily) My god I was embarrassed. At first, I think she thought I was puking because of the kissing, she asked 'was it my breath?' and I was like no way. We'd done that many times, never once was her breath bad and even so I'd give her some gum I went home after that and unfortunately didn't get to go all the way.
She was very understanding about it, though, and one reason I love her so much. She just shook it off and now we have a weird memory to tell the grandkids about. Yes, we are still together.
