    DNS Server not responding

I have a tech problem I need help with if anyone has seen this issue before.

I'm running windows 7 64 edition, it is a LAN hookup no wireless at all.

The last few nights my internet connection drops with the listed problem from the "troubleshoot problems" as DNS Server not responding.

What I find odd is that it happens in about the same time window. Between 1-3am est.

It usually comes back up after a little while for a few minutes then it goes back to the DNS problems.

When it happened last night I went and hooked up my ethernet to my 5 year old laptop (Windows xp) I didn't have any problem with the internet then.

I should note I did a complete HD format about 3 weeks ago after catching a virus I wasn't sure I had gotten rid of. I never had any of these issues before then, and this issue has still only been occurring for about 4 nights now.

If it just started doing it recently, then your ISP might be updating something and they chose a time where they didn't think anyone would be on (which is also weird because you think they would do it at like 4AM...)

I thought it was just an ISP problem too, but if I unplug my ethernet from my desktop and hook it up to my laptop I didn't have any issues.

Though I didn't have any problems last night at all.

        Just really weird.
