    Then she stopped.

what is the point of this?

Like I said earlier, people dont have hookahs strapped up and taking smoke breaks hitting the hookah. 90% os people who smoke a hookah smoke it recreationally. This means once per week is "alot"

Crushing a big piece of chocolate cake after dinner with a bunch of icing on it isnt "healthy". I mean, your trying to compare a hookah to cigarrettes, and until people become addicted to smoking a hookah and smoke it 15-20 times a day, its not a comparison at all.

But keep trying to make the argument man. Post some more links if it makes you feel better.

There was nothing wrong with his post. It added to the conversation, unlike yours.

        excuse me?

How did my post add nothing to the conversation? Hes trying to say Hookah is just as bad as cigarettes and I had a retort to that. Just because tobacco is bad for people, does not mean people cant enjoy a hookah every now and again without fear of cancer. There is no need to post links and make comments that compare cigarettes to a hookah. There is no argument there.

Nice try at calling me out and for the record, your post is the one that is meaningless to the conversation.

            Re: Hookah

Some people get so touchy when they hear other opinions!

My two cents is that hookah is repulsive in the sense that any substance that gives you a buzzed state of mind is repulsive, nothing against people who disagree.

Plus, it just reminds me of an old opium den with a bunch of dirty people in it I guess, haha.

At the end of the day I'd rather feel chill on my own with my buddies than using something to help me get there.

Hey man apologies for being vague, there was no harm intended there. I just saw a post or two where there was some speculation on the health merits of hookah (a post from ElGreazy) so I thought I'd at least provide a starter link from what I usually believe to be a reliable source (the Mayo Clinic) for anyone looking to find something a little more concrete.

                  Re: Hookah

Well, being that I'm Middle Eastern, smoking hookah is in my blood. I smoke pretty often (few times a month) but its almost always a social thing.

Definitely horrible for you and not even close to being "better than cigarettes". I can't stand cigarettes at all. Sometimes you want it bad, but its not like a nicotine/cigarette addiction where its actually a physical addiction. I know some people who smoke it literally every day, which I cant believe.

There are tons of bars around here, and its probably the lowest-cost, highest-reward business anyone could possibly run.

                    Re: Hookah

I have a smoke about 3-4 times a day and I'm glad to admit it...It relaxes me...and I am healthy. I go to the gym 4-5 a week...I run just fine because I do keep my lungs healthy. Chain smokers who do not take care of their body or eat healthy = cancer 10/10 times. If you smoke a pack a day...Get some help. There are days where I do not need a smoke. Look I used to smoke regularly...I literally felt like I had half the breath I had before...But it's because I didn't take care of my body or did regular exercise. My problem are with people who over abuse it...Not do it.

Also I hate when fat people say that something is unhealthy. If you posted on here that smoking is unhealthy and you are at least 20lbs over weight...You are a joke.

My roommates in college used to smoke it every few weeks. It was just a social thing... something to get everyone outside to enjoy the sunlight. I never smoked it, but I'd sit in the circle with them. That stuff did smell great, though.

Some of the flavors are ridiculous.

                        http://www.jmhookah.com/# that's my brother's friend's company....crazy flavor combinations.

This reasoning always grinds at me a bit.

If no one drove it would be quite detrimental to today's society/economy with where we are today.

It's not like you have to smoke to get to work or to respond to an emergency. You aren't really at any disadvantge in the job market at-large if you don't fill your lungs with tar.
