OFF! Clip-On
Do these work? This season has been miserable for me in terms of bites. I can't stop scratching them either. I used to use the spray, but I feel it attracts them more. Candles don't work, and I can only smoke a cigarette so many times within the hour to keep them away from me.

If it is your yard, then you can try spraying you bushes. If not, then yes the off clip-on things with fans do work. Mosquitoes don't really bit me much though. I've used one and I think only 1 landed on me. Other people had more come around them, but for the most part they worked. -
Re: OFF! Clip-On
does not work at all.
Only stuff to keep mosquitoes away is the woodsmen bug spray with at least 50% DEET.Comment

Re: OFF! Clip-On
DEET has it's own problems.
I'm not sure wearing a 100% formula for any extended time is a great idea for the average person who's not sure how it'll affect them.
Start at a MUCH lower %, make sure it doesn't act as a skin irritant and watch for side effect before moving up to higher %'s.Comment

I get bug bites worse than anyone, I'll take that belief to the grave, and yeah regular OFF! doesn't seem to work too well for me either. Have you tried OFF! Deep Woods? This is the best one for sure, as long as you have this covering everywhere you should be good. I've got a giant can in my trunk at all times, you think you've got it bad? Come to Northern Ontario.Comment

Last summer I went to my buddys wedding at the beach. I went to the aquairium and they had an outside portion. It was really cool to see baby crabs coming out of the ground but when I got back inside I realized I had been eaten alive. I had close to 15-20 bites while my girlfriend had NONE. Then after the wedding at the reception, I learned about sand fleas(I think). Again I was the only one in the group that they were biting.
I am convinced I give off some natural scent bugs are attracted to. This goes back to when I was a child.Comment

There is this new thing called not itching bug bites...Once you start itching them they are going to itch for the next week.

Re: OFF! Clip-On
I'm from the Northland. Bugs don't bite me, I bite bugs.
But seriously, any spray really works fine for me. I get bit so often, it actually doesn't even bother me that much. I use the scratch it til it bleeds method. Makes them go away much faster.Comment

Re: OFF! Clip-On
Better off with the sprays as others have already stated.
Two summers ago I got bit in the lower middle section of the back of my head a little above my hairline. I scratched that bite for about a month until it went away.
It eventually turned into a dark spot until it faded away. Now my hair doesn't grow in that spot of my head anymore.
When ever I let my hair grow or don't get it shaped up in the back, my neck hairs grow and that spot with no hair is brought back to life. I look like I got the McDonalds M logo.
So don't scratch these things, find one of the sprays recommended in here.
When ever I'm out of spray & I see a mosquito I run, I hate them and I will admit im afraid of them.Horseshoes & HollyWoodComment
