    Book patent?

Hey guys. I've been in the process of writing a book for a couple months now, and I still have a little more planning/research to do before I begin interviews. It's going to be a compilation of interviews about specific subjects more or less.

What is the legal deal for making sure that the people I interview don't turn around and copy the book idea? Or am I just at their mercy?

I don't think it's some incredibly phenomenal idea or anything, but I'd like to limit the possibilities of someone else doing it before I can finish it.

    Thanks.

I believe this would fall under copyright laws but I dont think there is a way to protect an idea.

Copyright, a form of intellectual property law, protects original works of authorship including literary, dramatic, musical, and artistic works, such as poetry, novels, movies, songs, computer software, and architecture. Copyright does not protect facts, ideas, systems, or methods of operation, although it may protect the way these things are expressed.
