Anyway I win about 60% of my games which is a fairly high percent, but a recent situation, and resulting feedback I received, made me question myself.
OK, here's the situation: My team was down 9-6, and the dealer was to my left. I was dealt JJK in the upcard suit (which was an ace), with 2 offsuit aces. I ordered up alone.
The player to my right led a suit in which I had an ace, it was trumped by the dealer, ruining my loner bid. But it gets worse... the dealer then leads the suit of my OTHER ace, which is trumped by the dealers partner. Dealers P then leads the other non trump suit and since the upcard was an ace and I know the Dealer (to my left) still has the ace, I play one of my Jacks instead of the King. Then I lead my other Jack and only pull the 10 of trump from the dealer.... I'm screwed, last trick goes to the dealer who still has the Ace to beat my King.
So even with JJK AA, I can still get euchred. I told an online friend about it and she claimed to me it "happens all the time" to her. Really? what are the odds of that happening ONCE, let alone "all the time"?
