So I'm thinking about picking up the 6 Scott Pilgrim comics, and I'm not sure if I should. It would only run me about 40 bucks, which is easily managable, but I want to make sure I would enjoy them.

If anyone has read them and seen the movie, are the books better than the movie? Because if so, I'd get it on like Donkey Kong.

Haven't read them but more often then not the original source material is better then any movie. I did hear one of the volumes (I think 5) was particularly slow. Even if you don't like them you could always make a quick buck on Ebay.

Heck, i'm sure your public library would have all 6 volumes right now as well.

That was a good idea, but alas, my local library does not have them. Neither does the VT library. I think it's either buy them or paw through them at Barnes and Noble (right before I'm kicked out due to my pawing through the book).
