Re: Off Topic 2010
This should be my signature.Bannable offenses include:
Telling mods they suffer from a broken brain
Having the screen name "BlueNGold" or being nice to anyone with said name
Excessive use of smileys in posts with no other content
Posting Haters gonna hate pics to respond to highly intelligent, respected mods who've done their civic duty by mentioning A-Rod suxOriginally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.
It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Re: Off Topic 2010
In New England (at least in MA/VT) it has always been slang for stupid and from what I've observed in my years it isn't used as casually around the rest of the country. That is a wicked shame. I don't think that word should be censored but can see where it could be an instant TOS violation.Comment

PM Millennium, and lets not get into a debate about this word on the forumAgreed... it would be nice if "bitch" made its way onto the filter too, but I've mentioned that plenty of times. I'm not the censoring type in the least, but if the concern is that there are kids reading, I think that word is worse than many of the other ones that are censored, especially when used in a negative or homophobic context.Comment

Yup. Our area (Mass/NH/VT) use that word a lot less seriously than most parts of the country. I've had to self-edit it out of a lot of my posts because it's really not a derogatory term around here in the same sense it is other places. In New England (at least in MA/VT) it has always been slang for stupid and from what I've observed in my years it isn't used as casually around the rest of the country. Should it be censored? Absolutely, as it is a serious insult/offensive word to a lot of people.Comment

Funny how different our language is based on what part of the country you live in. Here that word is really casual and many people frequently use it in every day speech. Whereas elsewhere it is on par with other derogatory terms. I guess I've always thought the rest of the country where it is offensive is just way too uptight about the word.Yup.
