Most of the feeling has nothing to do with college football though that does add to the feeling seeing as my favorites teams lost to my two least favorite teams in college football. But my old high school who I followed all season (and still have a lot of freinds on the team) just lost in the semi finals to the number 1 team in the state who also happen to be back to back champs. 35-34. Blew a 21 point lead. Hurts to watch them lose like that. Woulda been great for the community. But it wasn't meant to be I guess.

I look at football/sports like the news... When something bad is going on I just don't watch. Example the oil spill. I completely avoid any news channels when something like that goes down. I don't even want to see it. I ended up getting all my news second hand or from the short lived threads on here. I just decided that life can be miserable enough so why add the extra stress. Well, same goes with football. My team lost yesterday so instead of watching football all day like I normally would I just played video games and forgot all about "my team". I have to say that it worked out pretty well today.
edit: As far as my old HS, I only went to two games after I graduated. Now, the only news I hear about them is from people posting on the Facebook. Whether they win or lose it really has no effect what so ever on my life now. I do the same thing, mostly the day after though. While the Gators were sucking horribly against the Noles, I played my game on NCAA. The Washington game is pretty much the only game where the team I wanted to win won this week. Strangely my NCAA game ended in the same way as that game with me scoring on from the 1 yardline on 4th down with a couple seconds left on the clock when I could have kicked the field goal to tie. Oh and I'll probably care a little less about my high school now that the best players we've had in awhile are gone. Two three star recruits on the team (one commited to Wazzu and the other being recruited by Wazzu, Idaho, Hawai'i, Oregon State, Oregon, Washington, and TCU) and another one I really think would do great at a non-BCS type school.
