Well, quite an eventful few days with my brother-in-law in town:

First, we have a failed Thanksgiving...

Then a clogged toilet (calls to mind a previous thread) that cost a few hundred dollars...

And I'm fully split from my family after the FINAL round of political back and forth (and good riddance!)...

And yet, my giant Navy bro-in-law (and I'm 6'3" 230+) whom I hadn't seen in three years was pretty cool, my wife had a blast, and several nights of boardgames and movies (not to mention my son enjoying the extra Wii time) made the holiday weekend an overall plus.

That thread is some serious nastiness. Also reminded me of the fact that I had a knack for clogging my grandparents toilet when I was little. Guess I used to much TP. I remember my grandma would use a spoon to scoop out the clog (guess they didn't have a plunger).

Why is The Beatles coming to iTunes a big deal?

Are people really too lazy to rip a CD? If you wanted The Beatles on your iPod, you could have The Beatles on your iPod. Just buy a CD and rip it.

I love HBO. I've seen 5-6 movies I've been wanting to see for awhile in just the last week or two. Too bad my free 3 months of HBO expire in a few weeks.

The thing I hate about HBO though is that those movies you saw, they'll most likely keep giving it for the next 2-3 months.

Well, you would need to contact a recruiter first. Then....

Paperwork, paperwork, paperwork

Go to MEPS and they give you a physical, make you walk like a duck, and you pick your rate or MOS. Basically a job you will do in the military.

Then you go to Boot Camp.

Then Technical School and any other schools they want to send you.

Then you go to your duty station or home if you join the reserves.

What branch you interested in?

Ahh the duck walk. I hated that thing.

Got my 60gb 360 hard drive yesterday in the mail, now just waiting for the transfer cable from Microsoft. According to UPS's tracking website, it hasn't moved since I ordered it on Wednesday. WTF?

I'm not even a beatles fan, but garbage? Hell no. Honestly their music gives me headaches, but that's probably because I remember my dad playing Beatles songs all the time when i was a kid. Actually They gave a headache then too.

I would like to say why in the world does Walmart have a 100 year old greeter checking bags for stolen products anyway ? That is Walmart for ya......At a certain age, you are just too old to be trying to stop shop lifters.....

At the Wal Mart in Prairieville they have a greeter who has to be at least 85 that always works in the garden entrance. I swear it takes him 5 minutes to find the one bag of dog food on my receipt every time I go that way.

Also theres a lady greeter who is in a wheelchair and doesn't have any legs. She's stopped me a couple of times to check my reciept for things in the bottom of my cart. I've always wondered why people just don't keep walking past her.

Woohoo! Classes are cancelled today due to blizzard conditions. I went to go out to grab a few things at the store, but I couldn't even get off the street I live on, my car got stuck in a snow drift I drive a little Hyundai Accent, yeah not exactly built for winter driving.
Luckily I've got some good neighbors who helped me get out, after that I just went home(you know, I had to go all of 20 feet to get back home). It's a good day to just stay home.
