I think Wendy's chili is okay, but not the best.
Honestly, just get a bunch of ground beef and make some meaty chili. I love it when my chili is meaty and hot.
Other things to put in it: celery, black beans, tomatoes, cracked red pepper, hot sauce, salsa. Even unsweetened chocolate is good in Chili

Yeah. The best chilis I've ever made came when I just went in with no plan and added stuff I had around that looked like they would be good in chili. Some things that you might not think of... cashews, water chestnuts, and honey roasted peanuts. All of which ended up being good in chili.I think Wendy's chili is okay, but not the best.

Re: Off Topic 2010
If you have these basic ingredients you have a great base. From there just go with it.
lean ground beef
chopped celery
chopped onion
garlic cloves, crushed
oregano
canned kidney beans
cumin
salt
canned diced tomatoes
can tomato sauce
chili powder
A little beef bullion
Cayenne pepper, Salt, to tasteOriginally posted by Anthony BourdainThe celebrity chef culture is a remarkable and admittedly annoying phenomenon. Of all the professions, after all, few people are less suited to be suddenly thrown into the public eye than chefs. We're used to doing what we do in private, behind closed doors.Comment
