My wife and I closed on our first house together two and a half months ago, but unpacking sucks. I finally went and bought some book shelves last night to start putting the game room together, and I think it is coming along nice. I still need to figure out if I like where things are, and I definitely need another one or two shelves for my stuff, but these two are helping bring the room together!

I bought a 1993 World Champion Toronto Blue Jays wall calendar. It uses 1992 players, but for the 1993 calendar year, although many guys did repeat in 93, so it works both ways.

Sure, who uses wall calendars anymore?

But I recently saw that 2021 and 1993 have the exact same calendar, so I just had to get that.

I miss those days with wall calendars for sports teams. I don't see them anymore, maybe I'm not looking properly?

My fave one was a Leafs calendar I had growing up where it not only told you the schedule for the season, it had a spot to fill in the result of every game. I loved using that so much, and for games I didnt watch, I'd go to the newspaper and find out who won and the score and filled in the calendar. Thankfully this was during a time where they were one of the leagues top teams.

Another nice find!

I got a Tavares Leafs stitched jersey for $100 ($75US)! Not a knockoff, it's the real deal. I thought it was too good to be true, but when I went in store and checked out, it was legit.

For non hockey fans, this is comparable to finding an authentic stitched NBA jersey for the same price. And I'm sure you guys know how much those cost, and how this price is less than even a replica.

I just subscribed to The Athletic. Don't mind using others means *cough* *cough* but at $1 per month for 12 months it was actually a nice deal. So there is that.
