Already got the coat and it's great. Much needed for my long walks with my GSD.

Bought a share of the Green Bay packers for my dad for Christmas. Well I got it for my mom to give to him but still.

Can't beat it for $2 (local subway was out of the cold cut trio...offering ham and turkey instead)

Not so much of my own purchase as I used a gift card given to me as a birthday present.

Does this really work? Could a person that's never touched a guitar actually learn to play from this?

Yeah, how does this work? I've been playing for years, but this still looks interesting.

Yes it can, as long as you stay committed and have realistic expectations. The software has limitations. It's not going to teach you how to read music, and you're probably not going to be a pro anytime soon.

If you're capable of playing games like Guitar Hero and Rockband, and have interest in playing the guitar, this is the perfect game. I never touched a guitar before making this purchase but I feel that I've progressed quite a bit in just four days.

The game comes bundled with a guitar/usb cord that connects to any electric guitar. It works just like Guitar Hero or Rockband, where you have scrolling notes that your prompted to hit when the time is right. The game seems very accurate at registering the input from my guitar and the software is very polished. It actually adjusts to your personal level of play, giving beginners single notes and increasing the number of notes for more experienced players.

I don't think you'll find the same fun factor with Rocksmith as you would with Guitar Hero or Rockband, but it's definitely more rewarding since it can teach the new guys how to play and it will teach current players how to play the songs offered on the game.

Thank you I've played around with a guitar from time to time in my life learning a few chords but never sticking with it long enough to become as good as I would want to be. I might look into this as a way of learning. That way if I screw up in front of my wife and kids I'm not looking like some idiot trying to play a guitar I'm just playing a video game.
