How you liking these? I almost picked up a pair last week, but they felt kind of flimsy from a quality of construction stand point. I am rough on headphones due to my travel, not sure they could survive long.

Gonna stick with my Bose Noise Cancelling for now, but am curious as to how you like the Beats.

I love em. I've listened mostly hip hop and dubstep and the bass sounds great and very deep. Biggest difference are the mids and highs on these and they sound great.

I've been using studios before the pros for hip hop and the bass is great on those but its muggy on mids and the highs aren't that great either.

The pros as for as quality are well constructed IMO especially compared to the studios. All of it is made of metal and leather so no plastic parts like the studios and also one big thing is the cords is top notch. Does not tangle at all and the ones that come with studios are crap. I have no doubt these will last for a very long time for me. Plus you don't have to worry about a batteries for these sets like you do for studios and for other noise cancelling sets like your bose.

Also barely any sound leakage from these sets. I put them on full blast and put my hands over them and you can barely hear anything.

Are they worth $400? I don't think so. I bought refurbished studios for $120 and $200 for these and that's what I think they are worth. Also refurbished are just like brand new, they are exactly the same as my friends who bought them twice as much. I think the bose sets are good also though. If your happy with them I would stick with them till they break.

Google "monster outlet" you'll see refurbished beats on there for really good prices, some half off normal price.

EDIT: After a good amount of hours today listening to different music, these have become my favorite headphones so far. (Beats Studios, Sennheisser 595hd) The bass is not overwhelming and everything is much tighter and crisper all the way around. Listened to Rock and vocalist like Leona Lewis and Mariah, switching back and forth with studios and clearly pros are better sounding. Even better when I connect them to my Fiios7 amp.

One draw back is that they are not as comfortable as studios or my Sennheisers (the most comfortable).

Decided to jump on these last night since these are the newer AX 720's with 7.1 versus the last model of 5.1.

Also the wife woke me up at 2am this morning to tell me we are EXPECTING. Helluva way to bring in the "New Year". Don't laugh but when she woke me up to tell me, I congratulated her and rolled back over and went back to sleep. Good thing that my wife is a "Cool" lady. Lol

Time to go out and spend some cash on baby gear. It's been 9 yrs since my last.

                        So this really means:

You will no longer be getting games hell of early this year

Good thing you got Skyrim when you did. You should have that game beat by the time your baby is born.

I am actually surprised you were in bed at 2am and not up playing Skyrim to be honest.

My girlfriend and I went to the furniture store yesterday to get a new rug and ended up with a new living-room set (sofa, loveseat, chair and a half w/ottoman, cocktail table, end table and sofa table)

Then, we left there and I dropped her off at World Market while I went into Best Buy and bought:

                          and her B-Day present:
