Decided to get into Football (must be NFL), since I don't care about the NBA like I used to (and I'm not buying a next-gen console and don't feel like buying another 2K for the full price again).

So, I went and got Madden 09 and 10 (didn't want to pay too much for games I may not like, so bought these oldies). I decided to play each one of them for a few months, then move to the next one - as if it was just released and I got the new title. I will probably stick to this trend when I buy a next-gen console.

I didn't like 09 at all, and then watched lots of 08 videos and eventually got it and like it much better then 09 (except for the graphics). So, I'll play it for a while and get used to playing football video games, and after a while move to 10.

The last football game I played was probably Madden 98 or 99, but I played it just a bit. But I used to play a lot of Mike Ditka Ultimate Football (PC) around the mid 90's. Used to love it.

Madden 10 is much better than 08-09. I'd start there, or M12 (less than $10 used) if you aren't wanting to buy M25. Those are the two best versions of Madden this gen., imo.

Yeah, I have read about it. But that's the thing. I'm trying to recreate the feeling of playing the "current" version for a while, then moving to the "new" one...just in retro-mode. I have '10 sitting inside a Gamestop bag sealed with the sticker... The time will come...

I'm just trying to spare you the pain of playing anything prior to 10. Pretty rough.

I'm not really THAT into football, and I don't know many players or tactics (mostly go by instinct), so I'll have to pass on Head Coach 09.

As for APF, would love to play it, but I want an NFL game, and I'm not sure there are full rosters for the PS3. If I ever find some, I'll get the game.

Does everyone truly feel like Madden 12 is a better game than 13 and 25? Reason I ask is I skipped Madden 11 and 12. I went from 10 to 13.

I don't know about 25, but I definitely think it was better than 13. The first year of the new physics engine was pretty much a disaster. There are definitely some things I miss about 13 (sideline catches, pass trajectories), but I still play and enjoy both Madden and NCAA 12.

I never could get past the running game in NCAA 12. I got tired of my running backs getting stuck behind offensive linemen and not being able to move.

I haven't thoroughly enjoyed a Madden since Madden '10.

I thought that CPU A.I. was much better in 12 than 13. I also thought that the running game was better in 12. Mainly due to the IE being so spastic. Throwing the ball was definitely better in 13 though, due to the new throwing.

I'm not sure about 25 yet, since I've only played one game of the demo..

Just finished up Batman Arkham City the other day.

I was rotating that along with NCAA Football 14 and GTA IV.

A little later on today, I'll add Madden 25 into the mix.

NCAA 14 with a little bit of MLB 13 and Injustice thrown in. Madden 25 gets added later today.

I still need to find time to squeeze in Tomb Raider and another playthrough of BioShock Infinite.

Dead Rising 2 because it was free on Xbox Live. There us really nothing I want to play right now. Waiting on gta.
