Not talking about people in this thread, but I think part of the reason it gets a bad rap is people confuse it with other supplements. When I've told people I was using it, I've heard "Isn't that the stuff that McGwire got in trouble for?" or "Isn't that what killed that pitcher?"

But yes, it's not a miracle drug and it's not necessary. If it wasn't so cheap I wouldn't bother with it, but it does help my endurance levels during workouts.
Yep, even though I posted that story, it's only one of my friends who used it who had that problem. Heck half of our football team used it during the offseason workouts and they were just fine. Not too much risk involved if you know what you're doing. My friend just took it a little overboard.

I have used it myself years ago briefly (a buddy gave me half a tub that he didn't want) but i didn't do any research into it and didn't find it made any difference at all for me personally. Like is said bud it's your body and if you feel it helps and don't feel there are any risks go for it.
Yeah, most people weight but it's usually just water weight that you can sweat out if you do cardio.

I take 5 grams a day but I take Jack3d before hand which has i think 2.5 grams and in between I take WAR, and after I take mass XXX by gnc, then for meals I take Prime, for bed time I take some good ole Casein protein and for snacks I'll have some of the Gold Why standard strawberry isolate protein.

I did in high school I don't know if I could go up against the big guys now that I just graduated. I'm done maxing out for sure at 315 on bench I am content with that I haven't maxed in a while but for being 5'10 and 19 years old I feel 315 is good enough for me haha. I miss the lifting meets, was always fun. Especially when you're in high school. If you ment compete by parading around with undies on like Jay Cutler then no lol.

          That is a no no
          Do you compete mate?

lmao@ Jay Cutler.....I meant compete at anything really. Your supplement regimen sounded like that of an athlete. Me, I used to....football and boxing. Now it's just fitness and staying in shape but nothing drives you like competition.

Oh haha no I just play indoor soccer which helps with the cardio a ton other than that I just love lifting and the pain that comes a long with it.

Talked a bud of mine who said he took creatine awhile back. He said one of the main things he noticed after about two weeks of a 5g daily intake was that he retained that 'pumped' look after workouts and he made some decent strength gains
