Errant Golf Swing Starts Brush Fire.
We've all heard the usual causes for brushfires; lightning, discarded cigarette butts, careless campers. But how about an errant golf swing? Apparently a California golfer hid a shot into the rough and as he swung to hit the ball out of the rough, the club struck a rock creating a spark which sparked a 12 acre fire.

Crazy. I've seen sparks from the bottom of golf clubs a couple times from small pebbles. But never anything large enough to ignite a brush fire.Comment

Re: Errant Golf Swing Starts Brush Fire.
My buddy used to have a Taylor Made and when it would start getting a little dark out, we noticed sparks were shooting out of the bottom of it. Must have been when he hit the hard packed sand under the grass on the tee boxes.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment
